A Thread dedicated to Nine Inch Nails, Trent Reznor, [rant] [rant]teen angst [rant] [rant] and fucking everyone like an animal!

I think it has been 14-ish months since Reznor gave an interview where he mentioned Nine Inch Nails.
When he bothers to go to public he's only rambling about the De la Rocha-project,Doom III,Johnny Cash and console games..Not a single word about what's going on in the NiN-camp!Not a single 'real' interview!
Maybe he has lost interest to his own creation...Or maybe he's finishing a new album at this very moment and just wants to suprise everyone.(yeah right, and the world is a happy place.)

Astonishingly realistic Sim-Lifeish Trent Reznor-computer game:(Scroll down a bit)
http://www.theninhotline.net/meatpers/current.html

Btw, that's one hell of a site.
Lots and lots  of hillarious NiN parody in the archive section. Can potentially deliver a good laugh for every self respecting NiN-fan.
(And yep, this is OLD and every self respecting nin fan Prolly knows that site already:)

I love NIN but I'm getting annoyed that the www.nin.com site hasn't been updated since it went to black in November. And what about the Tapeworm project Trent was working on with Maynard James Keenan last summer?  [rant] They published pictures of them working in the studio last summer, but since then there's been no news about it.  [no]

NIN live is so great!!! those guys are really insane, has anyone watched the dvd of their last tour? man! they push eachother to the crowd,Trent smashes the keyboards into a million pieces etc......

Trent is great I mean, you gotta respect someone who goes to the studio and composes dozens of songs on his own basically.

Hopefully Tapeworm will see the light of day soon, can you imagine, Trent and Maynard on 1 cd....awesome!

We'll see Christ's 2nd coming and CD (In that order) before Tapeworm is finally released...
Do you remember when Reznor and MJK first talked about releasing something together under the name Tapeworm??1996?1995?? [nervous]

Adz,
How do you define fucking ages ago?
They were  in studio around march/april..and I think they still are.

Big fan of NIN since the day I saw the "Wish" video on tv. Also remember hearing about NIN in 1991 when they opened for GN'R.

I bought TDS in 1994 for the price of a cd single because the record store thought it was one..... I guess that slimcase fooled them. Smiley

LeftToDecay: Yeah, I think they started on the Tapeworm project in 1995. I think the only song that's ever been made public from that project was "Vacant" which Maynard performed live with A Perfect Circle a few times. Apparently Trent was a little annoyed at Maynard for performing it live before the song was "properly realized."

I saw NIN live in the summer of '94 when they opened up for Soundgarden. They kicked ass.  [ok] I seem to remember Robin having green hair at the time, but I'm not quite sure.  Huh I could be wrong, it was a long time ago.  Undecided

If you enjoy seeing Trent&Co in the angst-mode(who doesn't!?:)buy Closure(Or download the live parts of it from Kazaa.)much more rage and energy than in AATCHB, IMO.
Seeing  Terrible Lie from Closure was the moment I became a fan.

Btw, Has anyone ever seen the ENTIRE closure in mpg/Divx format somewhere? I'd love to get my greasy hands on a version that could be converted into a VCD..

THE PERFECT DRUNK

i downed a few
now my head is unraveling
room spins around
but i am not traveling
a couple drinks
now my world is no good
i'd get off the stool if I only could

i fly away
i think someone is taking me
to another place
but the bartender is shaking me
bob dylan bashes my head in
sb couldn't see me bar hoppin'

I am the perfect drunk
the perfect drunk
the perfect drunk

I am may seem drunk
but I'm sober inside
how hard i try
to keep my eyes open wide
the whiskey goes straight to my heart
with liquer eveything falls apart

mixed drinks just want to say hello to you
my beer's too warm to get inside of you
my soul is so afraid to realize
every little sip will make me die

I am the perfect drunk
the perfect drunk
the perfect drunk

 [hihi]

HMM!

According to the  nUnhotline.net Reznor has stopped working with  Doom III sounds:

"Trent Reznor is no longer involved with ID software's Doom3 project. The length of time needed to complete the gaming project has taken longer than expected. Reznor is now working full-time on the next NIN record and word is that recording is going very well. Stay tuned!"

Sooo apparently Reznor got bored, walked out from project and possibly took effects/ambinent tracks and such with him...
Just learned that this reminds the birth of Still quite a bit.
TR was working on the score of One Hour Photo but eventually walked out and used the scrapped One Hour Photo score as building blocks for Still!!
Fashionating, eh?
