If you haven't already you guys should check out the CRC sessions and the "Purest Feeling" EP which has two songs that were not on Pretty Hate Machine, as well as cool rough versions of alot of songs from that record.

Robin Finck/GN'R @ Meathead perspective
: (if you didnt catch it)
RUMOR: Robin Finck is coming back for the next tour. OH PLEASE GOD LET IT BE TRUE
This is not true. Of course Trent would love nothing more than to have Robin Finck return to the lineup, since he is the best guitarist in the world and all that. Hell, I'm sure he'd re-hire the rest of the Fragility guys in a heartbeat if he could. But right now Robin has more important things to do, like grow his beard, dress like a hobo and wait for Guns 'N Roses to release an album. A man's gotta have priorities. As for the others, Charlie Clouser is usually too high to answer the phone, Danny Lohner is in negotiations to join Guns 'N Roses, and I think Jerome Dillon died a couple months ago. Sorry.

meathead is great:p
Meathead predicting how Reznor's performance in forthcoming charity concert will go:
" Trent will play "Hurt" both nights. On the first night, he will substitute the word "shit" with "thorns," and on the second night he will substitute the word "shit" with "MOTHERFUCKING PIGS!!!", overturn the piano, simulate ejaculation with a water bottle, and totally get into "March of the Pigs" mode. Then he will remember that there is no drummer."

Yep.
Supposedly it got tangled up in some legal issues.
Too bad. Even the original Closure is cool as hell, and the dvd version, if it ever exists, is apparently going to have hours of unreleased material.
Ahhh I miss the young drug addict TR of Closure days. The muscular and sober marine-haircut fireman TR is so much more boring:p Music is still great tho!
He is much, much better singer nowadays. Or possibly just puts more effort to it than he used to. Shame he is clearly very afraid to do anything too high pitched anymore. Not in large quanities anyway.

Meathead is a nin fan who writes satiric and (occasionally) fun as hell columns that are always based on, but usually have nothing to do, with truth or reality

You guys like the remix albums?
I generally dislike Fixed and Further down the spiral ..alot.
Imo they generally are just noise for the sake of noise without cohension or beautiful layering of the real albums
Things falling apart tho has lots of brilliant parts.
I like Wretched(version) better than the original, 10 miles high is equally awesome, Slipping away is neat aswell.
Starfuckers.inc is among the not so good songs of fragile and making 3(!!) remixes of it was just plain dumb tho.
Other than that, it's super duper though.

I love Further down the Spiral.
At the heart of it all is one of the best NIN remixes.

So the Bridge school benefit thing is on.
Really hope this ends up in net soon cause..well. it sounds like a damn interesting thing to hear.
TR was behind a piano and shared the stage with a string quartet consisting of two cellos, bass and a violin.
They played:
The Frail
Something I Can Never Have
Piggy
La Mer
Adrift and at Peace
The Fragile
Right Where It Belongs
Non-Entity
Hurt
All in all, this sounds a whole lot like something i was really badly hoping to see around the release of Still.
Personally, I'd love to read too much into this and believe there is a semi instrumental album on the way, consisting of a heavy load of classic instruments gone mad.
The second part of the concert is tonight.Wonder if they play a new song or two.
Pics of TR performing at Bridge School (and later on, in UN:)
