Some things I'll comment on right now:
- Trent doing the tambourine dance never fails to entertain me thoroughly...
- I really don't like the whole "The Frail" into "Closer" thing. Honestly, I'd rather see "The Wretched" than "Closer".
- FINCK! I think anyone around me could probably tell that I was a little more than excited to be standing in front of this guy. Beyond awesome, and I am so happy he's back. In addition to the general performance and guitar work, I loved the faces... and the dancing... and when he did a bike rider's "stop" signal with his arm for about five seconds. Oh, and everything else. Good show, good show.
- Trent fucking up the words to "The Good Soldier" at the beginning... and then saying "I'm only human" about 30 seconds later. Everyone screamed and clapped, and then he turned to the back and smiled.
- Josh at the beginning of "Echoplex" was entertaining. He was up there trying to do the screen thing for quite a while. He looked like he was playing "whack-a-mole" and getting slightly frustrated by it.
- Down In It. YES!
- I don't remember what song it was during, plus I'm not sure what happening since I was looking in Trent's direction... but I looked over to the side and saw Robin being handed a guitar, then he gave it a strange look and literally just threw it onto the ground. Then I guess he got the right guitar and all was well.
- Trent telling us that he noticed Canadians smoke a lot of pot. Oh, and commenting that we should give a hand to the crew because they have to deal with all the "shit" he thinks up to put on the stage.
- I didn't have a good view of JMJ, but my sister said that she saw him and said "he looked like was really giving the people with crappy seats on the side something entertaining to look at, because he kept playing toward them."
- The new intro to "Only" is so much cooler than the old one, not that the old one wasn't cool. I like it better than the old live version.
It was my sister's first NIN show. She got kicked in the head, but said she really enjoyed it anyway. We both were drenched several times by the water bottles Robin was throwing out. Luckily I caught one, or else we both probably would've passed out at some point.
I have a couple videos of Robin only (with Josh and Alessandro vaguely in the background), that I took after I finally decided to step back from the rail at the risk of having the life crushed out of me, around "HLAH". The sound is absolute shit and YouTube kills the quality, but I'll post them anyway once I upload them. I tried to take pictures, but they weren't turning out well, so I just gave up.
I didn't really meet anyone, although thanks to everyone who wrote in my little book that was being passed down the line, as I saw that some of you were from here.
Oh, and Crystal Castles weren't that bad, but I didn't like the vocals. Actually, I could barely make out that there were vocals half the time.
Hmm, I'll post more/edit later...
