Solger's youtube link was his own topic in the garden, so he got flamed for it, then a mod merged it with the real nin thread instead of just deleting the spam.

Yeah, but I wonder if he'd really be happy with net-only releases...

I picked it up yesterday, myself.  I just love the whole idea of this album, from the crazy net promotion, with the weird websites, to the "Be a Patriot. Be an Informer" on the back.  And, after being initially turned off by some of the "noisier" tracks, I'm quite used to it.   

And I give BIG props to NIN for streaming the entire album on their website!  Labels must hate that, since most albums are so shitty that such streams would lead people to realize that they don't WANT to buy an album, but Trent's rightfully confident in his work, with this one.  Some great melodies, too!

I'm hugely disappointed with this album. The trend from With Teeth continues, sadly.

Trent is neither a great vocalist or instrumentalist. The appeal lies in the melodies and raw emotion.

He seems too leveled these days. Too safe.
