I have a few bills to pay,
What should I do to ensure a healthy profit?
i gamble quite a bit, but it's for fun. it's to make the games more interesting.
Pete Rose, is that you?
Maybe I can find some deranged, die-hard Giants fans in the city to bet against.

Good idea Tongue, you are on the right track.
Sandman is right. Long-term investing is your best ticket...but it's more boring, that's for sure. The lure of the quick buck will always be sexier.
Pats big. I'm a contrarian at heart. Since I've been wrong so many times this year I figure the odds are with me this game!

Commemorative book of Pats' 19-0 season on sale now
Here's something that should infuriate New York Giants fans and haters of the New England Patriots.
Amazon.com has a book entitled: "19-0: The Historic Championship Season of New England's Unbeatable Patriots'' published by the Boston Globe for sale at the bargain price of $14.95. The ad notes the book has yet to be released.
The funny part is that a couple years back, when the Patriots were playing the Eagles in XXXIX, Bill Belichick read Philadelphia's plans for a championship parade to his team the night before the game, pretending to be infuriated that the city would set that up.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/Commemorative-book-of-Pats-19-0-season-on-sale-?urn=nfl,63942
Would be great to see this go down the tubes

That speech about the Eagles Super Bowl parade is the best pre-game speech EVER! Not sure about this book. The Patriots aren't the ones guaranteeing victory though. I'm talking to you Plaxico.

I am making the largest wager of my life on the Patriots (-11). The bet is for $20. I hope this doesn't affect my enjoyment of the game.

Super Bowl 42 Results:
New England Patriots 34
NY Giants 17
Super Bowl 42 MVP: Tom Brady with 3 touchdowns
Eli will be serviceable. He'll throw a late pick to make his stats look bad unfortunately. 1 td, 2 int.
The commercials will be funny.
Tom Petty will provide a good halftime show...it'll be tough to follow Prince's excellent performance from last year, but it should be good.
One more thing...I need ya'll's help. My annual Super Bowl tradition is pizza (original, huh?
)...what should me and my family go with? Local? Pizza Hut? Dominos? There is Papa John's...whaddaya think?

Loaded, thanks man. I really dig Pizza Hut but my wife's not crazy about it. There's a local place with an amaaazing Sicilian style pizza. The only trouble I've had with Super Bowl day pizza over the last 14 years is a tendency for the places to undercook the pie...I think they make so many pizzas (especially the chain stores) that quality suffers.
It's solved!!! Sicilian style square pie from a nice local restaurant.
Done! I can't wait!!!!!

I think the score will be closer than that. I hope the outcome will be different but i won't go out on a limb and say it will for sure.

Nothing. I thought it was funny 1.) Because they get these guys to the game a week early and then ask them dumb shit like this, 2.) because ESPN felt the need to put it on their front page and, 3.) because his favorite band is U2.

Is it me, or are the commercials getting worse? The best one in recent memory was the "office linebacker," but mostly they're a disappointment, too.
Anyway, the answer to your pizza question depends on a number of things. Regarding Pizza Hut, do you have good Pizza Hut, or bad Pizza Hut? If you're not aware of the difference, good Pizza Hut is less needlessly greasy and the breadsticks are the fluffier light golden kind served with the appropriate condiment, nacho cheese. Bad Pizza Hut looks like the collective drippings of an entire high school's acne problems have been secreted out of the cheese and the breadsticks are crunchier, more of a medium/dark brown, and served with an inferior condiment, marinara.
So...if you're lucky enough to have good Pizza Hut, it's a good choice. But, a good local pizza, especially if they make decent breadsticks or cheesy garlic bread, is always nice, and it has the added benefit of helping out a local small business, which is a good thing to do.

In my experience, most places don't. The only ones I know of are concentrated in Central Indiana, though I can't claim to have looked into it extensively.

It says better ingredients, better pizza on the box so how can I go wrong?

"Better ingredients, better pizza" isn't the same as "We use better ingredients and make better pizza."

Axl4Prez2004 is on a roll. I found a sucker Giants fan (co-worker's husband) and I have a new bet to add to my other $20 bet on the Pats (-11). This one is for $10. Straight-up, no points, I've got the Patriots. I felt so bad about it, I said I'd throw an extra $5 in there if the Giants indeed won.
So: if Pats win and cover, I've got $30.
if Pats win and don't cover I've lost $10
if Giants win, I've lost $35.
I think I'm in good shape.

Who the HELL in their right mind would take the Giants with NO POINTS? Apparently someone who doesn't know much about football and/or betting.
