Favre did play great. But you also have to give credit to Ryan Grant who after fumbling twice in the opening minutes of the game still managed to rack in 201 yards rushing and three touchdowns.? smoking

I liked how they had to go to a different camera when the snow got really heavy.

Both teams had to rely on the ground game at that time.

That was a great game.  I really hope the Giants beat the Cowboys tomorrow, Brett couldn't win a game at Texas Stadium if his life was on the line.  Undecided

(Not that the Giants aren't a worthy adversary.)

And darn those New England Patriots.  Angry

I agree with you about the patriots. I really thought jacksonville had a chance there.

I'm not saying it doesn't make a difference, but for instance, the Clevland Browns could have been given the Steelers Playbook and a script of the first twenty plays and they couldn't have stopped them because they are that bad. You still have to execute...

Randy Moss also didn't make a 51 yard Touchdown catch in triple coverage because he knew their protections.

Oh, there's no question they're better than the Jets, and knowing a defensive scheme is less likely to net you a clear advantage than knowing an offensive play.? After all, if you know the exact route that will be run by a receiver, for example, you can undercut the route and get a pick more often than you normally would.?

Signal stealing or not they were the best team on that field Sunday, and for fifteen more games, they will field the better team on that day as well.

YAWN.?

You can YAWN all you want. when the hang 40+ on San Diego (while holding them to 10-13) keep Yawning...

You just predicted them to run the table so, yes, I'm yawning.? Yawning because the New England arrogance has gotten so very, very stale.?

Sorry to re-hash this but I was reading the whole thread this morning and found this exchange kind of funny after hitting 17-0... done yawning yet?

What do u guys think about todays games.

I got Indy covering

Dallas covering

Indy lost to SD by 2 pts and Manning threw 6 picks

That won't happen again plus for the first time Indy are completely healthy and Anthony Gonzalez has been developed as another weapon

SD without Gates will not be able to hang with Indy as they can double Chambers now put 8 men in the box for LT and smash em.

Dallas have played like shit the last few weeks but I have a feeling with all the Jessica Simpson bullshit that Romo is gonna come out smoking to prove people wrong.

I think the Giants have had their good games and Eli will turn back into Eli. Double Plaxico, I dont think Jacobs is 100 percent.

no Sam Madison which means TO will have a huge day, especially with Terry Glenn back.

U guys think both these games will go over 46pts with the teams scores combined?

D, I'm surprised you've reversed course on your Giants-Cowboys position...but I like it.  I said before it started Dallas was the one favorite that would cover.  (Green Bay and Jax make me 1-1 ats so far)

Cowboys and surprisingly the Chargers to cover.  All favorites win straight-up.

Random points:  Does anybody else here like Tony Siragusa?  I do, but sometimes the sideline schtick makes him look cartoonish.  The guy is funny enough (and sometimes insightful enough) at times where I don't think he needs to be comic relief.  I think CBS' broadcast was better than Fox partly for that reason.

Can't Romo find some unfamous hot pieces of ass?  There'd be a lot less crap thrown his way.  I don't get the famous thing.  There are a lot of chicks out there ten times hotter than the famous chicks he's been linked up with.  Just my opinion.  If they lose, we'll hear about Jessica Simpson forever.  Hell, it would be in her publicists' best interest (to keep the story going) to sabotage Tony....Hey Polluxlm, any rumors of a conspiracy to sabotage Tony before gametime?  Cheesy

Brett was incredible yesterday.

However, his track record in Texas is troubling to say the least.

I'm thinking Dallas and New England at the Superbowl.

2-1 ats and 2-1 straight-up so far...damn, I would have been 3-0 straight-up if I stuck with the Chargers (yes Freedom, the Colts lost, and Mr. Harrison really laid an egg, sorry)

My Cowboys pick is coming together nicely.  I said that the Cowboys would score late to cover the spread.   Wink

Yes.  They played a terrible game.  There are two words you hear often when the Colts D is playing well.  Those words are "Bob" & "Sanders."  I only remember hearing them twice today...once when he got that retarded taunting penalty, and the other when he got injured.  Today was the first time for weeks and weeks when the D really missed Freeney.

That, combined with the receivers looking like they were trying out for the volleyball team, didn't help.

Even though I picked it this way, I'm still surprised.  Will Romo become the next "yeah, but can he win the big one" QB?

Anyway, I'm glad to see Favre play at Lambeau one more time (for certain...never know what he'll do about next year).

Go Pack!

Oh, and there's no way SD wins next week.  Those fuckers have no chance.  They're weak.  The Pats destroyed 'em earlier this season.  Merriman is juiced and LT is a punk bitch.*

*NOTE: I am attempting to make the Chargers feel "disrespected," that they might play with a chip on their shoulder.

Question: if a game features enough players playing with chips on their shoulders, wouldn't a guy who played with nacho cheese on his shoulder be a default MVP?
