The cover feature on the new issue of Classic Rock is a GNR retrospective to tie in with 20 years of Appetite.

The main feature is 12 pages long.  It is a really cool read.  Mostly positive.  Includes an interview with Adriana Smith (the girl 'featured' in Rocket Queen), Mike Clink, Steve Adler, Slash and Tom Zutaut.

There is also a 1.5 page feature on the recent leaks, which includes a review of each track.  The reviews of the tracks are very positive.  They talk about the various versions of the songs that are available up to the current leaks.

They name Better as the strongest track.  They also note how great the buckethead outro is, and also "Axl's undeniably impressive vocal work".

They also report that they have heard:

Rhiad & The Bedouins
Prostitute
Atlas Shrugged (featuring Brian May)

Silkworms

and they say that apart from Silkworms they are all "excellent" and "brilliant"

I don't have a scanner, but the whole mag shows GNR both current and old in a very positive light.

There is obviously the predictable GNR vs VR stuff thrown in for good measure.

about prostitute and atlas, maybe they are on about the old ones the RS writer heard in 1999 or so.
it's very probable that they have changed a lot since then.

Atlas Shrugged, 'umm Based on the book, possible......  It seems too unlikely for a co-incidence surely.  But then Axl may feel like Atlas with the World(and its baggage) on his shoulders, and has come to the conclusion "Fuck it" with a shrug of his shoulders...

Interesting

For me, the coolest part is learning that Axl warmed up to Queensryche's "The Needle Lies."  Pretty calculated, that is.

Where's the part about hearing new tracks?
