Just a random year...

In some ways '91/'92 acted as a way station between 80s and 90s culture. This was the year that a lot of 80s shows--Growing Pains, The Cosby Show and Who's the Boss went off the air (CHEERS in '93). It saw an end to 12 years of Republican presidents, with the election of Bill Clinton, the "90s President." It was also a year in which it was cool to like BOTH Guns N' Roses and Nirvana. We also saw Beavis and Butthead for the first time.

So what are your thoughts on 1992?

T2 was '91.

My top albums are, and in no real order:

AIC-Dirt
Nirvana- Nevermind- yes, it came out in 1991, but '92 was the year of Nevermind.
GN'R- UYI- see above
Izzy- juju hounds
Singles soundtrack
NIN- Broken

Films:

Batman Returns- my favorite in the series.

Who can forget their follow-up hit, "Warm it up Kriss.  I'm about to.  Warm it up Kriss.  Cuz that's what I was born to do."  I wanted to be Kriss Kross back in the day.  Baggy jeans, didn't quite get up the nerve to wear them backwards though.  Unfortunately I also like TLC at the time.  I was, naive, immature.  I didn't know any better.  I just watched "The Last Days of Left Eye" Rock Doc on VH1 over the weekend.  It was pretty interesting.  They showed footage of the fateful car crash she died in.  Cameras were rolling inside the car at the time.  Pretty surreal.

Awwwwwww yeah, good to see I wasn't the only down ass gangsta back in the early 90's.

All those hardcore gangsta rap themes for the sub-Urban pimps.

Baby Got Back - Sir Mix Alot
Bust a Move - Young MC
Ice Ice Baby - Vanilla Ice
Whoomp There It Is - Tag Team
I Wish - Skee Lo
Nothin' But Love - Heavy D

And of course.....the Tone Loc catalog of two songs....Funky Cole Medina and Wild Thing.

And Biz Markie!  Oh Baby YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU YOU GOT WHAT I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED.

Thats a very exclusive statement , study the history surrounding June 1967 ; probably the defining moment of the whole Rock n Roll Era .

92 was a defining year for me though . The birth of my first child , my second marriage and of course the music .
