What is November Rain about?

So im having an argument with the girl im gonna marry. 

  I want our first dance to be to November Rain.  She says no, because the song is about her not loveing him the way that he loves her.  and something else, and something else (something about someone walking away from the other). 

  I think the song is about them loving each other, he's saying i cant live without you, or "ill just end up walking, in the cold november rain." 

  I realize in the video she dies at the end; ending aside, what do you think this song about?

Yeah I've heard that too.

My personal interpretation is that the song describes a great love between two people.  That relationship hits snags for many reasons, and the latest one was major, putting the two at a crossroads.  However, the song implies that the love remains.  Ultimately the song, and the resolution, is open-ended.

The video basically follows the plot of a short story written by Del James.  The song itself does not indicate that the girl kills herself.

That's dedication.  Stick to your guns on this one.  Good luck!  It's a beautiful song, regardless of what it may or may not mean.  I think it's a fine choice.
