Gig Tonight..... And My Voice Is Gone!!!!

Hey... Sorry for starting a stupid thread, but im beginning to PANIC!! We have our first kinda big gig tonight, and so we spent pretty much all yesterday practising... as a result my voice is pretty much fucked.... the gig is in about 10 - 12hrs time.... does ANYONE know a good remedy for this situation...?

considering the first line of that song doesnt compare to the effort required to sing the chorus properly, id say you'd be mad to try and perform. again its just my opinion, but if you somehow pull it off and you're in this situation again in the future you'l be like 'oh i was ok last time' and you'l end up blowing your throat and could seriously damage any chances of singing in the future.

Scotch and Vodka tend to loosen up the vocal chords. Keep away from wine, it dries out your throat. Chew some sage leaves.

it went surprisingly well..... voice was fine until the last song (bet you look good on the dancefloor) I couldnt shout the chorus so i just had to sing it lower...   
i didnt speak for about 10hrs coming up to when we went on.... did very little in the sound check... sipping honey and tea as i was told by greendog.... (added a little whiskey to each cup...)
But the difference in my voice was amazing comparing to what it was like that morning.... not 100% but i really didnt think it would get that mush better.....
only for the tips i got here i really wouldnt have done..... thank you!!!

My grandmother is a classical singer (she sang with pavarotti), I mean, she is famous, and she lives from her voice.

Ok this is the deal:

Put an orange in your kitchen fire (direct contact to the fire) until all the outside is burn black.
Open it and eat that warm orange with honey (not too much orange or you will spread shit all over the stadium lol)

If you can, get some sleep and rest your voice.
