Body Count/Metallica  - Beat the ever loving hell out of the Faith No More/Metallica/GNR triple header

Body Count and GNR on the same stage! Words can't describe how jealous and envious I am of anyone to see this!

I never got to see them live, but I kind of like what I've heard from Bullet For My Valentine on the radio. ?I don't know why everyone seemed to hate having them open for GNR so much.

Well, I'm only going to judge the opening bands I've personall seen. ?Otherwise, it would be really close between NIN and Oasis for best.

Otherwise, here are my opinions on who I have seen open for GNR in chronological:

Soundgarden: I had just bought Badmotorfinger a couple of weeks prior...was expecting a better performance.
Faith No More: Was a fan...and I saw their last show on the tour. ?Kicked ass and probably was my favorite.
Brian May Band: Boring, except when they did Queen songs. ?Started strong with Tie Your Mother Down, all downhill from there.
CKY: Should be called CKWhy.
Mix Master Mike: Alot of people hated MMM...not me. ?I found it pretty entertaining.
Huh: No idea who the first band was when I saw GNR last year...but I liked them. ?The lead singer had a heater while singing, which was pretty cool.
Suicide Girls: I dont give a shit what anyone says, their show was sweet and was a great way to get the crowd going.
Sebastian Bach: Thought it would be cheesy and dumb...and I was right. ?Although, it was cheesy and dumb in a fun, entertaining way.
Helmet: BIG dissappointment. ?Loved Helmet back in the day and had seen them live on their own in clubs...just dull as openers.

I thought CKY sucked balls.

Pappa Roach surprised me and I really enjoyed them.

Skid Row would have to be my fav opener, back in the day.

Wow I feel really old as I have seen GNR as an opening act, haha.  But they were the best opener I have ever seen! hihi

For me the worst was FNM, they were just crap at the show I was at and everyone seemed to think so as things were getting thrown at them left and right.

The best for me was Baz, back in the Skid Row days and with the last tour.  He is quite the crowd pleaser, IMO, even when he is being cheesy as hell.

I cant belive you thought Blind Melon were one of the worst!! Theres a band I'd give my right arm to see -

oh and BTW, Ive seen GN'R twice, once at Leeds 2002 and the other in Glasgow and I didnt watch the support bands but heres what i would pick judging by the talent of support they have had over the years -

Best - Blind Melon
prodigy(awesome, but at the time I couldnt wait for them to finish, I just wanted GUNS!!!)
NIN
Smashing Pumkins

worst - Offspring
Towers of London
Bullet for my Valentine

when did oasis support?

They played at Rock In Rio 3 on the same day as GN'R... I think they were the band playing before GN'R.
