TB -  quick question:

Are you sure these are made from the original FLAC files? I noticed in the description that it says these are CD-Rs - not original silvers. Is there any way to make absolutely sure that these weren't pressed using MP3s?

yeah... if thats the case then delete the thread or your posts. less attention... unless thats what you're craving?

personally, why does it even matter if we do a spectral analysis? what effect does that have on you, its not a personal thing. some guy asked how can we be sure and estebanf suggested a way for him to be sure.

How the fuck was anyone bitching at you? The guy suggested to do a spectral analysis on the tracks once you release them to see if they are true FLACs or just silver pressed MP3s. That's all. Just because something comes from Japan doesn't automatically mean that everything they use is FLAC.

I was just trying to help you man. You can use spectral analysis for all CDs, not only these japanese releases.

I dont know what is wrong about analyzing a CD... the analysis will not modify ANYTHING.

In fact, I did an spectral analysis of one track of the new Scotland 2006 lossless show, and the results are very... ''strange''

Can anyone tell me if this is lossless or lossy sourced?

Missing low frequencies does not necessarily mean that the recording is mp3 sourced. For example, many mini disc recordings are missing low frequencies.  Editing can result in missing low frequencies as well.
