New York City is the love of my life and I'm sad to be leaving, but alas I must.
I'm moving to L.A. in a few months. Anyone have any suggestions, warnings, things of note to tell me?

Will you be living in the Westside? You shouldnt have any problems there - it's a well-to-do area. But you'll have to get used to not having a cool public transit system like New York has, so get a car for sure. Just cross your fingers there wont be any earthquakes while you're here

Road trips are great. I'd travel in an ice cream truck if I could

It all depends on what part of town you're going to settle in...

compton , umm i dunno about that.
LA definitely depends on what area you will be in. do you know that or still deciding?
hopefully you have a job lined up otherwise its tough.
without more info i can't tell you much, but i HIGHLY recommend living near where you work since driving can be a nightmare. i'm lucky to take the bus so i have much less headaches and hassle plus i get to listen to music uninterrupted or sleep on the commute, which basically rules! plus its a lot cheaper too!!!
