What, in your opinion, is the best album to be released in the past ten years?

I'd have to go with:

Nine Inch Nails- Year Zero

I actually think the past 10 years have been pretty weak but heres a few I would consider....

Bad Religion-The Process Of Belief
Jerry Cantrell-Degradation Trip Volumes 1&2
Red Hot Chili Peppers-Californication
Alkaline Trio-Good Mourning
Avenged Sevenfold-City Of Evil
Rolling Stones-A Bigger Bang
Buckcherry-Timebomb

Buckcherry-Timebomb

I thought I was the only one who liked BC's oft-criticized middle child.  ok

OK, the last decade has been pretty weak for major label rock, but pretty damned good for metal.  So, here are a few picks:

Metal

Opeth - Blackwater Park (2001)
Norther - Mirror of Madness (2003)

Rock
Buckcherry - Buckcherry (1999)
Beautiful Creatures - Beautiful Creatures (2001)

Pantera - Reinventing the Steel
Megadeth - The World Needs a Hero
Black Label Society - Mafia

I'm glad someone brought up Jerry Cantrell-Degradation Trip Volumes 1&2. Better than AIC, IMHO. A great body of work.

Yeah I have told alot of people how good that album is so they pick it up but not many have listened. I've played it in my car for friends and they bought it immediately. It's really an amazing collection of songs. Not a track I would say is even mediocre or average, they're all great.
