oh i agree, if jarmo has them i dont blame him for holding them as he was asked...i dont think MSL tried to paint Jarmo in a bad light anyway...at least thats not how i read it

Yeah, but the difference is until they were "released" by MSL they did not really bring much joy to the average fan.

And seriously, even this is a dead horse; I don`t really think "soon" is the word, cause we were being told that once they have a release date they will tell. Well and from what Axl said (and why Merck was fired if anyone remembers) he might need a couple of months for proper promo once they have a release date --> Hence they won`t release it anytime "soon".

From a legal point of view no. As a fan I think it is great, I really don`t see this harm GnRs business in any way (if at all, it?ll hurt some feelings). And besides he did not leak the songs. The songs leaked as soon left Axl`s posession, whatever way they took. All MSL did in the end (besides writing a whole book celebrating his victory and make some ppl bitch at each other) was to bring the joy from a few to many:)

I think this is exactly the point about all this drama with the Jarmo mention, cause I guess that is a position he is not totally unfamiliar with...So in the end, even if he has had the leaks before, there is not an objective reason for anyone to blame him for that uncomfortable situation. But anyways, speculation and drama!

I never ever can blame fans for being downloading mother fuckers once it happened but I don't think it's right to expose what the very authors don't want to show to the public to claim the fame for that. especially now when the announcement  of the release date seems to be in the offing.

And I am sure it won`t come out while they are touring australia, asia and south america. I mean if it was to be released anytime this year it has be handed in for sure before the tour starts (we all know what happens if you don`t: the muse does not appear and management gets fired). And I guess once they hand it in, they might have a release date as well.

FWIW - Jarmo has gained the trust of Axl, and looking back at the Court Case re Steve Addler, I can see why Axl takes time to release anything.
