Ex-GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist GILBY CLARKE To Guest On CAMP FREDDY RADIO - Apr. 28, 2007

Former GUNS N' ROSES and current ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA guitarist Gilby Clarke will be today's (Saturday, April 28) special guest on Camp Freddy Radio, which airs on Indie 103.1 FM in Los Angeles, California. To listen to the show, tune in to Indie 103.1 FM Saturday between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. PST (between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. EST) or log on to www.indie1031.fm.

Clarke recently shot down reports that he has left ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA, the band he formed with Tommy Lee (M?TLEY CR?E), Jason Newsted (VOIVOD, ex-METALLICA) and Canadian vocalist Lukas Rossi.

ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA's self-titled debut album has shifted less than 60,000 copies in the United States since its November 2006 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD was certified gold in January for Canadian sales in excess of 50,000 copies.

Really fun interview-
-Nothing is going on with Supernova now
-Gilby mentions when he joined GNR Axl told him he was not the first choice-he wanted Dave Navarro, but Axl still was happy with Gilby.
-Lukas sounds like he kind of developed an ego as the tour went along-Gilby didn't know Lukas had been writing songs and the name change for Supernova until the interviewer had told him a few weeks ago which may have led to the confusion about Gilby quitting the band-Gilby to me sounds unsure of the Supernova thing still

Gilby rocks!

They should've chosen Dilana though.

His comments about GN'R not being great live was interesting. He said only Axl was great live, the rest of the band didn't sound too good...

Which is the opposite of what most fans say. But 99% of the fans never saw GN'R in the L.A. clubs like Gilby did.

very true...hi did indeed say that but i do wonder if the band wasnt so good why didnt axl just get signed to a label ?
that was the thing with gnr tho...even on the illusion tour they could be awefull or damn right fuckin awesome and magic or danger could happen at any time.
it goes to show that not everyone can be perfect all the time(that includes the 2002 vma@s-which in MY opinion was really shocking.....the worst ever performance iv seen)

My friends and I went to see Gilby about 2 years ago at a club in Long Island. Awesome show and we hung out to meet him and take pics afterwards. Very few people are as cool as Gilby Clarke. All of us were in full GnR regalia and he chatted with us for a good 15 minutes and told us how cool it was that guys our age (20-22) were still into guns and real rock music.
