It is a major cock tease. just as soon as you start getting into it ...BAM...it's over..

though I think it is going to be a killer track when we finally hear the full studio version.it defiantly got me even more pumped for the album i.

That little snippet alone is enough to tell us the mix will be light years ahead of where Contraband was, as Brendan O'brien has more than half a clue about making a band sound good.

The final version is going to be a monster. The bridge and Slash's solo sounded awesome live, and in a perfectly mixed studio version it is going to flourish.

Damn, not to be negative and all, but I just hate the chorus. Hopefully the solo on the song will be good.

The recording sounds crap, what a useless promo. Hope the "studio quality" version will be better.

Why are most people so down on Contraband?  It wasn't a ground-breaking debut but I thought it was solid.  Better than most crap released these days.

Contraband is a killer album, i can't understand how so many people here dislike it. I think it's an amazin' album for their first, In my opinion there are a lot of great songs in there: Sucker train blues, Fall to pieces, Set me free, Slither, Illegal i, You got no Right, big machine, Lovin' the alliens ... In my opinion is a bad-ass modern-hard rock album, a kick in your ass!!and my hopes are higher on libertad, They've evolutioned and grew a lot as a band. And talkin' about the mix on contraband, i also think it's not the best they could have had, but it sounds fresh, rocker and modern, different from their previous albums

i agree with snakepipero contraband was a solid album, its just the stigma that comes with the band members every1 has sum sorta expectation of the band that they are let down becoz the album wasnt wat they expected but how can u predict wat an album will sound like to be let down

Sounds like its gonna be amazing. I hate the way these promos have that sort of phase thing goin over the mix. I guess its just to not give away the final quality. Just gotta listen thru that n u can hear how its gonna be a wicked song

I'm not felling this sample at all.

I really think that this is going to be a good album, but what I've heard (which isn't much, I admit) isn't that great.

that is awful. if someone told me that was a joke, i'd believe it. weiland's singing at times is annoying, and this is one of those times. everything about it is cheese. it sounds like it is being marketed to 10 year olds.

BUT, you can't get a true feel for any song from a 21-second clip.

If its cheese, it aint good cheese.

Lets hope the actual album version captures the rawness of the live act well.
