First off, Im not bashing the new band or the old band...ive seen the new line up 6 times and think they are awesome....but which version of GNR has cancelled more shows? the original or the new line-up?  Just thought it would be interesting if anyone had the stat line on that one.....

I don't have any official stats on the subject but I'd have to say the old band just cuz they toured for a longer period of time.  They had their fair share of cancellations back in the day.  But the new band is catching up pretty quick.  Let's just hope they get things rolling again soon.

So there you have it folks, by my count at least the old lineup wins, or loses I guess, with 57 cancellations to 45.

I forgot about the 2 abbreviated shows in 88 without Axl, so that'd make it 59 to 45.  The new lineup still has a little ways to go.

Yeah, in 2001 18 shows in Europe were cancelled.

They certainly did.  But they did cancel their fair share due to illness, Axl throat problems, legal troubles, fear of riots, unable to reschedule.  So it's not like cancelling shows is anything new in the world of Guns N' Roses.  And I don't know if I have my facts straight but the 18 European dates in 2001 and the 2002 North American tour were sort of forced by management.  And then the 2006 North American tour was cut short when they fired Merck and tried to focus on finishing up the album.  THOSE kind of problems didn't seem to be too prevalent with the old lineup.
