A new 4/20... Hokie Hope Day

You may be aware that this Friday, April 20, has been named a National Day of Support for Virginia Tech, to honor those killed on campus Monday.  On Friday??Hokie Hope Day??the University invites people across the United States to wear the school?s colors, orange and maroon, to show support for Virginia Tech students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends.

I imagine the tragic shooting this week at Virginia Tech has affected us all?we don?t need to be victims of such heartbreaking violence to be hurt by it. On Friday, please feel free to wear orange and maroon as a show of support.

I hope you will all be able to show support in your own way during this sad and difficult time.

did'nt they know 4/20 already a national day of getting high,   now they want us to get all bummed out and kill our buzz thinkin of that shooting.   if that shooter smoked weed maybe he would'nt have bothered shooting up that place

Even if I do wear orange, I doubt anyone involved in the incident will see me.? No disrespect but people die every day and it's always sad.? Think about Iraq - it's just as horrible and much more commonplace.
