Suggestion about the ''Appetite For Collection'' section

Can we have, at least, a sticky thread to post there downloads from other bands (not GNR related)?

There are several cases of bootlegs that might interest to the biggest majority of the GNR fans, like opening acts bootlegs, shows from bands which GNR used to open for (Motley Crue, Aerosmith, INXS, Stones) or bootlegs from bands with similar characteristics to GNR (Zeppelin, Nirvana, Aerosmith, Metallica, Pearl Jam, etc)

I think it would be a very cool idea, and it doesn't hurt the ''this is a GNR forum, go to other bands forum if you want other bands downloads'' argument because it's just that: a sticky thread.

And I also know that there are many people collecting this kind of stuff.

I'm not asking anything more than that: just a sticky thread (not a sub-section or a special section) in ''Appetite For Collection''

I don't know if it would suit the AFC, but I think something like that to Bad Obsession wouldn't be a terrible idea.. And I don't know if it should be just for those type of bands, but if someone finds a great show (with excellent quality) it could be posted there.

I don't think that lower quality bootlegs should be posted though. If some one really likes a band that much they can find sites dedicated for those bands.

But I think something like this would be great. I'm not completely trashing the original idea either.

Because:

1) Why ''huge''? Do you know many people uploading stuff from other bands here? Why ''difficult to manage''? If the thread becomes huge... what's the big deal?

2) Why would people look for that here anyway? > GNR fans seem to like, in general, the same kind of music, styles, musicians, etc. I think I will never see a GNR fan uploading an Usher bootleg.

And people wont enter this forum for ''other band downloads''... its just a sticky thread. Its not gonna be something revolutionary for the forum dude...

But what I am suggesting is JUST a sticky thread. No need to create a whole new section, add moderators for it, and millions of threads inside.

#1 - This is a GN'R site.

That's why the AFC section is for GN'R and related bands only.


#2 - If you occasionally want to link to other bands' bootlegs, you can use the threads in the Bad Obsession section.
