Seems a lot more open to playing with old band for a couple shows than he did a year ago!

Or he is trying to make himself seem like the good guy to all the fans who want it that he is open to it (even if he really isn't and knowing Axl would rather die first) making him seem like an asshole in the process. What a shrewd and cunning media whore hihi

Have you listened to Chinese Democracy? rofl
Do interviewers do any research. Maybe he thought Axl would have given him a pre-listen!

At least he doesn't look pissed off about Axl or GNR. That's a good thing.

A reunion won't happen.. and even if it would, they would break up again.

Bury the issues and playing some shows together would be really cool however  peace

and even if it would, they would break up again.

The part where he said "just for a few shows" did imply that anyway...

Or, more likely, he's just got sick & tired of answering the same re-union question for years & years & years & years & years.
By answering this way, he is acknowledging the media interest in such an event.
By conceding that it might be interesting for people to see, without just saying "Never going to happen", he's hoping to close the question down & move on.

That's the impression I get anyway.

Slash will playing a couple of shows with GNR or reunion

What a missleading headline  hihi

He said he would consider a couple of shows.
But we all know that won't happen, as Gn'R with Slash would recieve a big responce than the current line up, and Axl would not want that to happen  Wink

Slash is only saying this shit to try to detract attention from the current Guns.  Shame on him.   he's never said anything remotely close to this before, he just waits until GnR is getting ready to release chinese D and then trys to stir the fans up with his reunion shit.

slash fucking wishes axl would give him a reunion, of course.  but its not happening, Axl would not sell himself out like that.  ok  Dream on slash.

that wouldnt be fair to axl
he's been trying his best to get away from the "original line-up" - ok he plays old songs, so what? -

But it's been more than 7 years now that he came back with a new band, and we still THROW the "old guns n' roses" at his face.

Axl is stuck between pleasing the fans, by playing old songs, and trying to get away from the name ...

So how come Izzy played last year?

because Izzy was not only the band's co-founder, he is the only guy who was childhood friends with Axl.  They go far far back and have been friends for a long long time.  Also, Izzy doesn't seem to carry the ego that many of the other ex-members have and is probably easier to deal with, but thats just my observation/opinion.

gah this is such a dead horse topic, why didn't you just post this in the reunion thread?
