Since someone took the liberty of starting a thread with a convo/argument I was having with Falcon. Lets go all the way with this.

If Jarmo don't want us discussing GNR's leaks that is fine and I totally respect and understand and agree with that.
If Jarmo doesn't want constant GNR bashing I am also fine with that and totally respect that.

But when someone tries to tell me that I can't discuss SLash's guitar playing IN THE VR section where a few of us are having a mature conversation, that is crossing the line and I won't accept that.

If I want to compare Slash's playing On Libertad with playing he did on Appetite or the Use Your Illusions, what the fuck is wrong with that? No one outside of Jarmo and some body else was even mentioning GNR in that thread. It was Jarmo who came in the VR section provoking VR fans about the Release date being pushed back.

I said I think SLash is better than All 3 GNR guys combined but no one argued about it cause they respect my opinion on the issue.


I just hate everytime we get a good thread going, some MOD has to show up and spoil the conversation just so they appear to be staying active and busy when it is totally not necessary. If u are discussing Slash and his guitar, u have to at some point compare to HIS works in GNR.

I see where you are coming from D. I can see what you were trying to say in that Slash is better than all 3 (and I tend to agree but thats not the point) but seems to be content with 'average/good' material. I can see why you think it's a harmless comment, but based on experience, it will turn into a GNR vs VR thing. I understand that you probably didn't realise that your comment was getting into a GNR debate, more just bringing to the point Slash's talent and the ordinary work he has been doing. Maybe Falcon didn't realise this and really read into it I dunno.. but I guess U have to keep GNR out of VR threads these days.. maybe u shouldnt have made the light hearted joke about needing a woman or whatever it was lol.. cos I think Falcon reacted to that with a nasty comment about seeing your myspace (doesn't he know you've been working out? haha) which probably made u angry with the prick thing..
In summary.. I think a kiss and make up is an easy solution here!

thats only like people on the guns section who in response to someone saying the new guns songs arnt as good as old gnr songs saying "what are you talking about!!! this music and line up blows the old one away, axls an artist and writes amazing songs, unlike VR with scott gay weiland who make mediocore albums and only sell cause slash is in there!!!"

I just dont understand sometimes why we have to walk on egg shells in different sections.

3 members of GNR are in VR now, so it is impossible to not blur the lines of each band to a degree.

With CD maybe coming out soon and Libertad coming out soon, its impossible to deny that both bands are in a competition of sorts regardless of how much we try to deny and censor that.

I think comparing a members present work to his old work is valid.


When I said I think SLash is better than the 3 GNR guitarists, that was pretty much to show people that I am not bashing Slash cause I am Pro Axl. Making that comment was just to show that I think Slash is amazing but has maybe gotten a little too comfortable and no longer tries to really be special.

That was all that comment insinuated.


With Scott slinging unprovoked insults at Axl, I think it is fair to now compare Scott when he writes horribly overused cliche rhymes to a genius song like Madagascar and expose Scott for the absolute moron he is.
