Chance to see Axl and the boys but it'll cost you dearly
REBEKAH DEVLIN, CANDICE KELLER, NAOMI JELLICOE & LEITH FORREST

The Advertiser (South Australia)

THAT'S a bit rich. As great as rockers Guns N' Roses are, (Confidential) was stunned to hear the prices being asked for the latest tour.

Nikki, who's a member of booking agency, Ticketek, told us she was offered pre-sale tickets at the low price of $170 for gold tickets and $119 for silver. Nikki says an extra $20 premium access fee was added to make sure you got the best seats before everyone else.

The band hasn't had a new hit since 1993. Original members Slash and Duff aren't even coming. Axl Rose is but we're not sure he's worth $170. The band plays the Entertainment Centre, on Wednesday, June 13. We're hanging to go but no one should be paying that much.

What a bunch of assholes.? Is Australia really poor or something?? That doesn't seem like too much money for an evening of hard rock to me.

I seriously doubt the band has any saying in how much the tickets and fees would be.
Blame it on the promoters.

its $142 in U.S. dollars.

I payed $150 per ticket for the shows at The Joint here in Vegas.   well worth it.  Payed about half that for GREAT seats for the last show in Los Angeles.  also well worth it.   Ticket sales seem to be doing fine so clearly the demand is there.

And as for the 20. Thats the ticket agency. The band has nothing to do with that. And we get ripped off by thoughts agencies also.

It's the promoter who sets the ticket prices as far as I know.

You have two options, either you go or you don't.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are charging 140 AUD for the best tickets for their Sydney concert.

Gwen Stefani in Perth is 105 AUD.

Pink in Brisbane is 90 AUD.

Beyonce in Melbourne is 130 AUD.

Maybe you should save your money for the next tour then. Or go to the Pink show since it's cheaper....

Thats only ?70 and ?49 British pounds, the UK shows were around ?45 to ?50 for a standard ticket last year so it isn't too bad really.

You can't really compare ticket prices between different markets like that.

Australia is huge.

They get five shows.

If that was in the USA, that same land area would probably get 30-40 shows!

That's bullshit, and that's only for the VISA presales
The standard ticket prices are roughly $120 for Gold and about $80 or $90 for standard seats
Compared to other bands of the same stature particularly who have played the Acer Arena in Sydney, that is actually one of the more cheaper concerts they're staging.

Tickets for Rolling Stones at Hampden Park in Glasgow last year were ?140 British pounds ($335 AUD) last year for a seat away up with the Gods, it was a similar amount to see Jon Bon fuckin' Jovi, stop bitching and enjoy the show! And thats coming from a tight arsed Scotsman as well!!!
