No wonder u are such a prick. ok

No name calling please, strictly against board rules. yes

No back on topic...

Hopefully the song will have a different vibe on a studio release, pretty rough in a live mix..

U started this shit, I finished it.

I am sick of the bullshit on this forum.

I agree with Jarmo's stance on GNR and the bootlegs but God Damn it if I want to talk about Slash and his guitar playing. I am going to fucking talk about Slash and his God Damned guitar playing without some MOD trying to shut down every conversation we have out of fear of some E-Riot or something dumb like that.

I agree, I won't write it off as mediocre until I hear the studio version.

Classic means it stands the test of time and will be remembered by all 50 years from now.

Snakepit stuff IS NOT Classic.

exactly.? WTTJ = classic, Paradise City = classic.? ?No Snakepit or VR song is a classic, and the only one with that kind of potential MAYBE is Slither, but we'll know the answer to that in a few years.

A classic to me is not a song that will ?be remembered some years or decades from now, Some really stupid songs and artists (for ex. Vanilla Ice)get to top billboard and will be remembered as the music we listened in 80's, 90's, One thing is the fame and other is the quality of a song. In the music industry there are very few artist that get that due to their talent

yeah but people like Vanilla Ice are remembered for Gimmicky reasons and not the quality of song.

No one will say 40 years from now that Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" was an all time legendary rap songs.

Slash's riffs and solos will live on forever.

I am not bashing Slash at all cause I feel he is still talented and great enough to come up with brilliant pieces of music, its just the bands he has been in kind of hold him back and don't really push him to totally achieve his potential.

Snakepit wasnt a commercial band, VR are more Modern rock type so he really doesn't get the free space to roam and create like he could.

I think Contraband is a great album but to me Slash settled for good instead of really pushing himself and tryin to achieve Great. That isnt saying Contraband sucks or the songs arent good. Its just We all know what Slash can do and to hear anything less than what we know he can do is sometimes a letdown.

I have high expectations for Axl, for Slash for Prince for the Chili Peppers, for Bon Jovi and for every band I love. I call them out when I feel they arent giving their all.

I did so on Prince, I have on Bon Jovi and I will with Axl,Slash and whomever else I feel arent giving their all. Criticism by me doesnt mean I am no longer a fan or that I am a hater.

If Axl used the lyric "keeps her motor Clean" id still feel it was a dumb Cliched unoriginal lyric.

I do get concerned that some of the posters who saw VR live thought these songs were boring......... Its one thing hearing a song on a shitty boot but usually even bad songs are pretty decent live.

so the fact that some concert goers hate this makes me a tad nervous.

I wish Scott would change the dumb ass "Keeps her Motor Clean" Lyric. He can do better than that.

From what I saw on the webcast this is going to be a killer song. Slash sounds like his solos fit more in sync with the music on the new stuff. I always thought his solos sounded pasted in on contraband.

Appartenty the song is going to be handed over to Radio stations May 21. I got it form this site http://www.fmqb.com/Article.asp?id=16697 which seems pretty reliable.

Eh, so far what I've heard of this album is just okay. I might just download it when it comes out. And as for all the arguments in this thread (judging by page 2), I'm not getting into them.
