I've had it long before, lots of times.  It becomes too much of a hassle and never really looked that great, was always untidy, etc..  I like it better now.

Besides, its OK for a guy to have long hair and it look messy... chicks have it much harder cuz we have to straighten/curl/layer/spray/plait/tie back/dye/whatever our hair in order to look sexy. Guys can just have long hair and its sexy anyway!

If you cut your hair, I will find you, find your cut-off bits of hair, and glue them back onto your head using super industrial-strength indestructable glue! And if you cut it again I shall continue to glue it back on, no matter how painstaking it is!

It would be nice if it were as easy as that SkynyrdGirl but you have to sometimes if you want to get on in life. Working for the man may well suck, but when you get a bit older and you own a house etc, saying fuck you to, reality and the man ent so easy! I had long hair for years but working in an office and then becoming Manager and visiting clients every day having long hair does not really fit the bill! So whilst I agree and I would love to still have my long curly hair, having a good job and a good quality of living has to win the battle! Mike

Yes, 33, I realize that in a job sometimes they get pissy with you if your hair has personality... BUT... that's no reason to cut it all off!

Oddy says he needs to get a job, but that doesn't necessarily mean he has to cut his hair off for it! I just suggest that for interviews he ties it back in a low braid and say (if asked about his hair) that he has Native American ancestors and that to cut his hair off would be a great insult. If his job interview is good and he shows that he will be the best man for the job, then the interviewer shouldn't have too much of a problem with it. After all, its not necessarily the length of the hair which is an issue with bosses... its whether the level of messiness, so if Oddy goes into work with it neatly tied back then nothing will be said, unless there's a serious health-and-safety issue... like if he's working with certain machines.

i was thinking of impersonating a hindu person if worst comes to worst.

i'm going on friday to drop my resume at a lot of bars and clubs because i wanna be a bartender. i will have it tied up and everything.

i really don't wanna cut it either........but i need money atm. i need to buy a new amp........new guitars......lots of stuff.

Yeh fair point! I wasnt being awkward about it! It is just a pain that certain employers nowadays think you should have short if you are in a responsible job! It's wrong! Mike
