Legends of music no longer with us

Bon Scott RIP
John Bonham RIP
Jim Morrison RIP
Keith Moon RIP
John Lennon RIP
Jimi Hendrix RIP
Philip Lynott RIP
Cliff Burton RIP
Dee Dee, joey and johnny ramone RIP
Brian Jones RIP
Johnny thunders and jerry nolan RIP
Rory gallagher RIP
Jeff and tim buckley RIP

Lengends of music in several decades and we all should respect them for creating amazing music to varying degrees and in different genres.

Music transends all the bullshit we have in the world at the moment. Music has and always will be there to help us through shit times in our lives. And its because of the men above and their peers and band members still living that some great music was created.

And we should all respect them so much. The musicians on the board more so. I especially have a soft spot for John"bonzo" Bonham. The best drummer ever IMO.But all those men deserved the credit for what they help create. Jimi Hendrix played a right handed handed guitar upside down FFS. And played it better than some right handed players.

In closing, these men were and are legends and therefore are true legends of the great rock music industry we have had over the last 40 yrs. And as i mentioned above. ROCK ON MOTHERFUCKERS ON THE GREAT GIG IN THE SKY.

Feel free to add names to the list.I havent time to add more names. And i wrote the part above after drinking half a bottle of vodka, so got inspired.

Two weeks ago I was at the Dakota's entrance where John Lennon got shot.  Hard to believe it's been almost 27 years since that nutbag Mark Chapman took one of the greats.

Are you serious ??  Huh

Sid wasn't in only one band, he is known for his bassist position in Sex Pistols but he also performed solo, recording Iggy Pop and Eddie Cochran covers.
When he left the Pistols,? he performed with his gf Nancy Spungen in a band called The Vicious White Kids and he was also in a band called? The Idols.

Dimebag Darrell and Morrison are my two favorites out of all of the listed. Great music from both, that will live on forever.

Lets not forget the former drummers of Spinal Tap. May they rest in peace  Cry

# John "Stumpy" Pepys (1964-1967) Died in a bizarre, unexplained gardening accident.
# Eric "Stumpy Joe" Childs (1967-1974) Choked on vomit of unknown origin.
# Peter "James" Bond (1974-1977) Spontaneously combusted onstage.
# Mick Shrimpton (1977-1982) Onstage explosion
# Joe "Mama" Besser (1982) Quit the band, claiming he "couldn't take this 4/4 shit"; according to an MTV interview with Spinal Tap in November 1991, he disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
# Gary Wallis (Amnesty International performance in 1991)
# Richard "Ric" Shrimpton (1982-1999) Allegedly sold his dialysis machine for drugs, presumed dead
# Sammy "Stumpy" Bateman (2000) Died in a freak tricycle accident jumping over a pool of sharks.

Most of the real "legends" I'm thinking of have already been named.  However, Syd Barrett from Pink Floyd recently passed away.  Not sure if he's a "legend" for most rock fans, but he seems to be a legend for Floyd fans.  Also, what about Elvis?
