What I'm thinking is, sadly, we're going to have to wait for a Sept-Nov. release.... it just doesnt make sense for anyone to "hand it in" to the record company and rush it out in six weeks.... the "proper promotion" includes making SURE everyone is not only aware of the record, but ANTICIPATING it.

Dont expect a thing until the fall.

I wouldnt put that much faith into whether or not they are handling GNR.? Until something is confirmed by Axl or the website, its all speculation.? I hope CD is close to coming out, VR is getting alot of good attention lately with their upcoming tour and album.?

VR sucks big time, STP was cool, GN'R is brilliant but VR is terrible? peace

give it a rest!

Repeating "VR Sucks" makes it easier for some people to cope with Axl's many failures.

Tsunami LG could also doing this on behalf of [insert whichever division of UMG is supposed to be handling GNR this week]. If there's a live DVD on the way, or some sort of online ppv idea being brewed, whomever is financing it would want to protect their investment. So let's not jump to conclusions.

No, Let's jump to a conclusion; If they're complaining about live vids and also homemade vids which feature new GNR demos, it really does seem like whoever had the distribution rights for both would be the most likely to get involved. GNR themselves have never been slow to hit the "threaten a lawsuit" button, so you'd think that if youtube was an issue they would have addressed it sooner.

Then again, maybe Tsunami is working with GNR and some intern got a little trigger-happy and is trying to eliminate all bootlegged material. Who knows?  It's all bullshit and speculation until we have more information.

Actually, if this IS being done on behalf of the band, as a set-up for a marketing campaign, it could be a good thing. As with the leaks, the best way to control the GNR material available online is to be the primary source. Besides, it's not as though they can entirely eliminate the prospect of GNR  material popping up on youtube or other sites. Even with an iron fist, it would take a lot more time than. . . oh, wait.

I'm just glad I spent most of last week keepfile-ing GNR vids.

It sure would be nice to drive around in the nice warm sun of Summer listening to C.D. instaed of the freezing fall or winter where everyone is getting ready for Halloween and Christmas music, GNR best bet is to drop it before or during Summer agree?

They are a marketing and product management company, one of the Hammerstein videos I had on youtube was removed and it was because Tsunami LG complained. This is a description of what Tsunami LG is and does http://dashboard.iventa.com/management/images/tsunami/OneSheet.pdf

This mean that an official dvd of Hammersmith will come out or what?

Here is clarification about the Guns N' Roses and Tsunami Entertainment connection:

Because of all the leaks on the Internet of unreleased material from GN'R's forthcoming Chinese Democracy album, a Tsunami employee who monitors youtube for copyright violations was asked by GN'R's legal team to help stop the uploading of unreleased material.  If you have received a notice from youtube then that's because you uploaded copywritten images, performances, and music.

And just to clarify, Tsunami Entertainment are not managing Guns N' Roses.

It's a shame to hear they're actually wasting any time fighting this.  Anybody who's going to go to the trouble to look up, say, a performance of NightTrain from six months ago is going to buy Chinese Democracy anyways.  Probably multiple copies.  These leaks do nothing to hurt the sales of Chinese Democracy.  All Axl's delays and professional blunders do.

There are more important things for GNR and their "management" to be concerned with at this moment.

Oh well...  I just hope this album comes out soon.  I can't wait to hear Axl make more music.

Jarmo that doesn't make any sense, because why would a legal team ask for help from a management company? Legal issues are dealt in the usa directly through legal council that directly represents the client unless Tsunami is part of the legal group in some manner or payed subcontracted consultants.

And people say VR is living in the past. Axl - this isn't the 80's anymore, the internet ain't going anywhere buddy. All this does is piss off many of the remaining fans who haven't already ditched him yet. The fact that he's worried about videos on YouTube at this point is pretty fuckin' lame, all his attention should be focused on getting this album out.

Axl worrying about Youtube right now would be like the CEO of Ford Motor Cars identifying  the key to turning the company around from losing billions every year as finding cheaper office supplies. It is such a blip on the radar in terms of the bigger problem that it would be retarded to even think about.

If we could get Axl half as interested in releasing albums as he is in stupid trivial shit like this we would probably have 5 or 6 albums by now. He is like that kid studying for a big test the next day who spends his time the night before cleaning his desk up and organizing his notes in order to study, only to realize by morning he failed his test because he spent his time doing stupid shit all night instead of what was really important.....actually studying the material....not facilitating a nice area to do so.

well they are assholes i'm sure that took Efish alot of time to upload all those vids. and I did "deal" with it ........i got the leaks Grin Roll Eyes so i really never had a problem, those were good videos so i watched them alot i was a little mad when they were deleted (not as much as Efish was) so i just asked around and got live recordings and a few leaks.

you need to chill out man
