For those who are interested, EMS just posted their first ever Podcast.?

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WQ920O0T

Highlights include...

* An EXCLUSIVE interview with Big Jay Pinchard of the Mother Goose Pickers
* The debut of the Mother Goose Pickers new single, "Better"
* An EXCLUSIVE interview with Mark Strigl from Talking Metal
* An analysis of three different performances of Silkworms
* The Mother Goose Poetry Corner, featuring poems by our forum members
* An original song written and performed by Madison, the moderator of the M.Y.G.N.R. forum

...and the big daddy...

* An EXCLUSIVE interview with DIZZY FUCKIN' REED, fellow synth master in Guns N' Roses.? He told us a lot of really nice things about Chris Pitman, and explains a little about their song writing process.? It was from outside the Cat Club, right after Hookers & Blow's first farewell show.?

For some reason, it always changes the megaupload link to a link for HTGTH.

I did check with Jarmo before posting this.  He gave us the OKAY since it had an interview with Dizzy.

If that megaupload link gets filtered for some reason, you can find it in this thread over at EMS...

So, you're just hosting this on megaupload?  There isn't a more direct link then?

But there's only 4 performances of Silkworms, and only half of 'em have audio recordings. 01.01.01 & 01.15.01.

But there are subtle differences.  Plus, Jackamo did a George Lucas-style overhaul of the Rock N' Rio performance to try and make up for the bootleg sound quality.  It's really good.

Actually, there are four versions of Silkworms in the podcast, if you count the Mother Goose Picker's cover.

Maybe you should tell people that the Dizzy interview is you quoting what Dizzy told you off the record?

He just said he couldn't be recorded, but that he'd happily give an interview.? That's why I could only ask him a few questions.? I had to be able to remember it all.? Dizzy said he would have liked to have been able to do it on the recording, but says that they have to be very careful about that stuff, what ever that means.? He just didn't want to risk pissing anyone off, I suppose.? He's said the same thing to emailed interview requests.

I asked him if I could just ask the questions without the recorder, but read his answers on the podcast, and he said that'd be okay, especially since we didn't ask anything about Axl or Chinese Democracy.? He was really clear that he wanted everyone to know how great he thinks Pitman is a great guy, both as an artist and a friend.? He really values their relationship.? He was really animated when he said all that.? You could tell her really meant it.

Dizzy has spent over a decade recording CD, so I can understand why he didn't want to be recorded any more! ?hihi
