I don't believe Axl would trust anyone enough to be carrying around a copy of the new GN'R material.  Sorry, I just don't believe that Axl would allow that to happen.  I think either you were bs'd or the guy you were talking to misinterpreted what he was told.

Oh, so Joh Freese is cruising around town with a bunch of demos from CD...YA RIGHT....Im usually the last guy to call "Bullshit", but give
me a fucking break.

Actually Freese asked Axl for permission to use alot of the stuff he recorded while in Guns for the first Perfect Circle CD, Axl agreed so its certainly possible!

Not even a band member? Surely the likes of Dizzy and Tommy would have some CD of stuff they recorded, even if just to learn them when they need to tour. The album was presumably given to Freese before he left. OP, any insight into why he left the band?

Wow, he heard of songs that were leaked on the internet. NO WAY.  Man youre blowing my mind.  Honestly,  He heard of the Blues?  How could he have heard of it if this stories not true.  I mean its not like Axl's been playing the Blues since 2001 or played Madagascar on MTV in 2002.  Man youre blowing my mind here and I totally believe your story.  I wonder if he heard the demo of Better, ask him next time.  I would love to hear what Better sounds like I hear its awesome.

Interesting shit, you should definitely pursue this, even if the album would drop tomorrow (it won't, I'm just hypothesizing, relax... Wink ), it would still be interesting to gain some more insight in this whole process...

Yes i'm with you. Thats why i like the demos.

Didn't Freese help write Chinese Democracy? I'm sure he helped record tons of stuff that never got used and he took it along to other projects. Isn't there like hundreds of hours of riffs and ideas that never really went anywhere?

Yeah, that's why I put new album in quotes.  Who knows what the guy I know really heard; it's obviously not going to be what's on the final product.

BBF has a copy of his own, why wouldn't Josh have one.  Much older version though.

cliche...but, ya...bullshit!!!

Dude, it's pricks like you that make this place intolerable sometimes.? I'm just posting what I heard, the guy clearly knew what he was talking about (he named TWAT, IRS and The Blues without me mentioning them).?

If you don't have anything substantial to contribute, don't be a schmuck and post useless accusations.

Andrew

I believe that Freese might have an old demo cd, but I dont believe this nonsense.  Why is it that all these people only hear songs that have been leaked on the internet and played live.  How is it that when they hear a song that hasnt been leaked that they cant remember any lyrics and describe it as being, "A mix of the old and new, with the raw feeling of appetite and the melodic tones of queen."  they say things like that because you can never prove them wrong.  Most likely this guys friend saw GNR live, watched the VMAs or heard a leaked CD.

He went to A Perfect Circle afterwards... could be some association/friendship with the members of A Perfect Circle.

hm.. interesting this whole thing... have to agree with the fact that it's rather strange that we only get info 'bout people hearing the things we?ve allheard and that's already been leaked, but who knows what goes on in the gnr camp, strange all of this....
