I think I will be happier if it isn't on the album.. Save me having to keep skipping it.  Lips Sealed

Funny how it divides people isn't it.

yeah, funny, cause not seeing that this is a masterpiece and THE potential HIT-Song (along with better) is hard to understand; it may not be your genre or whatever; but not seeing that the melodies, harmonies and hooks are sooo damn strong and that there is so much passion to it, is a thing i don't quite get.

I think the version we have heard is crappy audio quality, and simply put I think that if the track was ever released on the album, we'd have a much better (fuller) sounding song

It's my favorite song from the new era.

And Axl said last year at the KORN party that there would be some songs people liked, and some that people didn't like.  But that the album had something for everyone.

It's funny how Better and The Blues are SOOO popular amongst us fans, but songs like Madagascar and Catcher are very divisive.  You either love 'em or hate 'em.

I'd love it to be on the album, from the demo I've heard so far
It features this "mmmmmmmmmm catcher in the ryeeeee again" by Axl, it's just killing me  yes

I never get sick of this topic. Even after it's 5000th appearance on HTGTH. You'll find out when the album comes out.

sure thing.  yes and yet, I think, at the same time he knows that music is subjective and every fan has their taste.
For instance, look at the posts in this thread.

I adore the outro of catcher, the whole song is awesome but that ending. wow. it should go on for longer though.

You were the instrument
You were the one
How a body took the body
Gave that boy a gun
Took our innocence
Beyond our stance

completely agree, i adore the outro, especially when the guitar comes in right after "instrument", i also dig the synth work.

it would be a shame if this wasn't on the album, but who knows, it could very well be. and if it isnt we could still see it in the form of a b-side/bonus song or on the *gasp*, next album?  hihi

Yeah, it would be a crime if it's no on the new album. It's an absolutely fantastic song and probably the best all-around "new" song. Everything is brilliant: the lyrics, the vocals, the melody, the guitars, everything. It could end up being the best song the world never heard...
