We Buried My Sister Today

I apologize up front  to  the board, the administration, Jarmo, and the members  of HTGTH if this is inappropriate. Delete it  if  you wish or find  it necessary. I just wanted  to pay tribute  to my younger sister  who  died  this  week from complications  due to  diabetes and cancer. We had the funeral/memorial service  today. I am not looking for sympathy, I just need a place  to vent. This is  my outlet,  for better or worse.

She was an extraordinary person. In the eulogy, her  husband  characterized her as a giver and an optimist. She was one  of those  rare  people whose only  goal  in her life  was  to help others. She did  not know the word  no. Not  a selfish bone in her body. No  one who ever  met her disliked her. She had an infectious  personality, and laughter  was  a  constant.

She was  a whirlwind of energy. She crammed 150 years  of life  into  her  short time on this  planet. The world is worse  off  without her.

I miss her so much. And I will never see  her again. Ever.

For those  on this board  who sweat  the small stuff--updates  or the lack thereof, when will CD be out, did Axl do this or not, VR vs GNR, Axl vs  Slash, etc etc--all I can say is lose  a loved one, a brother, sister, mom, dad, spouse, whomever,  and you will realize  how utterly and  completely  unimportant it all is.

Again, I apologize if this is inappropriate. I am sure that I am not the only one one  to have  lost  someone close.

No words can take your pain away but from the sound of it she lived a good life brought much happiness and joy to others and was a great example for everyone in your family.

I know words don't mean a whole lot but she isn't suffering or feeling anymore pain and regardless of religious beliefs I honestly believe Death is the beginning not the end and in time u all will be reunited forever.

Take her example and carry on with it yourself.

Your description of her makes me wish I could have known her.  Keep your chin up, and live your life like she lived hers.

I have to try to get some sleep, have not slept much in the last ?week, but I want to thank everyone, sincerely, ?who has ?posted ?words ?of condolensences; and especially the many who have sent a PM--I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This ?is a place ?where ?there is often a lot ?of mindless ?and pointless ?arguments, a lot of ?name calling, insults, and vented ?anger. Tonight, I want to say that ?this ?board is also a place where ?people ?have compassion and are not afraid ?to express their care. I thank you all for your humanity.

Really sorry to hear about your loss.  The most important thing to do now is to try and keep the memory of your sister alive.  Its important to keep our loved ones close even though they may be gone.

Wow so sorry to hear about that KK, and it really touched my heart, at a time when I ve lost so much in my life , lovers , people friends, over the yrs, I only have one sister, so to me, all the other losses compare to nothing, if I lost her. So just want to tell you that was a really beautiful eulogy to her, and my heart feels heavy for your loss.  And you are so right all the BS as far as people complaining about when GNR is gonna do this or that, and blah blah blah, really doesn't mean a damn thing.  And for anyone who only concerns themselves with that I pity.


All I can say is all my heart to you, and someone posted that spirits don't die, I believe that. IM sure shes at your side when you least expect, and a whisper to your ear throughout life on decisions you make, and will always be a heartbeat that pulses in rhythm in good times and bad.
