I think that he is focusing on other things. It was good that he didn't say any bad word on Axl or GN'R. I wish him all the best. But I think that the combination Merck & GN'R didn't went good as far as the end of 2006 is concerned.

But he did post his version of 'that' letter, just to let everyone know  Wink

He was recently spotted in the Bahamas, or Puerto  Rico, where  all  ex-celebs go.

This from a Chicago Tribune article on Chinese Democracy dated March 14, 2007

I called Interscope/Geffen, the band?s supposed label, and a rep said she had no release date or information on the album, and she referred me to Merck Mercuriadis. Those of you who have been following this saga may know that Mercuriadis was the band?s manager for several years until he became yet another jettisoned member of the GNR team in December.

In other words, the label thinks the guy canned three months ago has the answers.

I e-mailed Mercuriadis asking if he could share any insights, and he promptly responded, ?Sorry, Mark, but I cannot help you.?

I think she was wrong, she wanted to say "Alan Niven" has the answer.

now honestly. I don't think that a "normal" worker has access to all the data. If it would be that easy we would all know by now who new manager is.  Huh

I don't think this Merck guy could say a bad thing about Axl to save his life.

He and everybody else involved in this new Axl band have probably signed contracts where they have agreed to pay like a 1.000.000.000 US dollars fine for every bad word they say about Axl to the press.

I kind of suspected that Merck voluntarily took the fall for the album not coming out last year. Mercks responce made Axl look good even though he had just sacked him, I just wondered if it was a ruse to deflect some of the flack that would come Axls way because the record didnt come out.

I wouldnt be suprised if Merck is back in the picture after a while once the record comes out.
They seemed so tight all these years, all those shows last year Merck was in the wings with Beta, they seemed so close.

Although I also wouldnt be suprised if it wasnt a ruse at all.

The thing about Merk not saying anything bad about Axl just shows his professionalism. and if he wants to continue working in the idustry as a manager it is wise to go your seperate ways quietly

He did get in a few little swipes, personally I liked the "the muse didn't show up".

But just like Pro Sports the coaches get sacked after losing and the interviews are always the same.

"Well, you know we had a pretty good run but it just wasn't enough in the end. I've had a wonderful time here (insert city/team) met wonderful people and will miss being here. But it was decided that it was time for a change, I will be looking forward to other challenges and I believe this team is on the right track."

You never hear the coach say...." The GM didn't believe me when I told him the trade we needed to make at the deadline to make it but the cocksucker didn't budge, and I didn't want to play our star player because he wasn't 100% healthy but I had the fuckin Board breathing down my neck because people want to see him and we need to fill seats. All and all this team is disorganised and thank god I'm outta here."

You never here that. Who would want to hire someone like that afterwards...you could expect the same critisism if your relationship didn't work out as well. It's the wonderful game of career politics businesses hide behind the farce of this curtain of politically correctness instead of letting people call a spade a spade. Of course who wants their dirty laundry out for all to see.

To me Merck deserves huge props for keeping this project going. It must have been fuckin' crazy, I'm sure none of us have an idea of how hard this job is (dealing with Axl, along with all the rest). It's not like he was telling Axl..."Ax I don't think you should finnish the album... let's wait and see".

In the end the coach took the fall for the team not making the playoffs and because star captain did not deliver.

   Happens all the time

"translating" what you said (and I believe you are correct) they are all full of shit.

Oh, and I don't think this is being professional.

I think this is being a robot.

I liked GNR because those guys seemed to be genuine, not fuckin' robots. Now all I see is this kind of crap corporate talking and let me tell you, this SUCKS.
