Seriously, I may not buy the album if Bucket is taken off of twat.
Cmon Madagas. If Axl resurrected Tiny Tim from the dead and had him replace BH, you would still buy the album. Lets be serious about this. hihi

the solo in the end isn't nothing special. I mean it's a good solo but it doesn't lift the song to the next level like for e. the solo of estranged does. I mean it's good playing and a good solo but it isn't a highlight of this song. still, twat is a great song.

Question:  The Gunner Gods have recently dropped two versions of TWAT in my lap.  One runs 6:01 and the other runs 6:43.  Could someone more familiar with the history of these leaks let me know which one is currently the accepted version?  Many thanks.   peace

I'm not sure in what order they leaked, but it was in one day (night for me), they're just another mix, maybe they leaked at the same moment. 6:43 is better anyway Grin

I think the song is a work of art. I'm not listening to it just now because I over listened to it in the first 5 minutes of getting it. I love the beginning of it. It's the only leak we've heard Dizzy partake in so far.

this song is simply put a masterpiece, nothing less. it displays axl's amazing songwriting skills to the fullest. this song will probably stand the test of time and be appreciated for generations to come, and what we've heard is just a demo! the solo in this song is undescribable, it left me with goosebumps, and the melody line, the arrangements and the lyrics screams guns n' roses epic. amazing track, it's stuff like this that will silence axl's critics and make us fans even prouder to have stuck by his side for all these years. beer pure magic.

simply put i can totally imagine this song on a use your illusion follow-up, it sounds as much as guns n' roses can get and it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside Grin axl delivers and he delivers good. Cool
the way the song is put together, man the lyrics could be written by dylan, the melody line is unique, the solo is one of the best solos i have ever heard. a masterpiece of a song, CD will blow everything away. smoking

I'm not to keen on the chorus, pretty lame, I think they ruin it, but the verses and the piano breakdown in the 2nd half are sweet.

there is a 6:43 version? I dont have it.

thing that made GNR Great was, u had these amazing riffs, great lyrics and vocals, great grooves and the guitar solo's just broke u through to the highest level possible. the guitar solo was like the orgasm.

On these new GNR songs, there is no build up, its like premature ejaculation, the solo's are like a bunch of angry bees,

someone playing a million notes a second doesnt impress me. the melody and emotion just isnt there for me during the TWAT solo's. it sounds like someone running through a bunch of scales in my opinion.

is it normal that for the last 5 the only song i listen to (honestly) is twat? Huh

this song is just so epic and so fresh at the same time.

I now can really understand what axl was talkin about when

he mentioned queen-style song arrangements

this song really elevates after 2:30 and axls vocals are simply amazin.

i am now sure that CD will be vocals-wise the best GNR album. drool

I disagree... I find that the song builds up to the huge ending, with guitar solos and the "I would do everything for you" Axl singing. It's pretty fuckin good for a demo.

I totally love the beginning of this song; I like the end, too, but I usually give the beginning a couple of replays before letting the rest of the song play.

I don't have a drum machine Wink but I do have a guitar and use the following progression under the beginning of the song. I know, i know, there's no guitar chord progression in the real song, so this is a little silly.

Bm x-2-4-4-3-2
D x-x-0-2-3-2
A x-0-2-2-2-0
Bsus2 x-2-4-4-2-2

E7 0-2-0-1-0-0
A7 x-0-2-0-2-0

(Bm)Broken glass and cigarettes
writing on the (D)wall
it was a (A)bargain for the summer
and I (Bsus2)thought I had it all

...

It was a (E7)long time for (A7)you

Man this new complete version kicks fuckin ass.

I guess my version i had previously was kinda shitty or something, cause YG's version kicks fuckin ass.

Definitely one of my favorites and these rank right up there with the classics in my opinion.
