No one else hears a Queensryche vibe to this song? Interesting.
It sounds like Queensryhe because Queensryche tried to sound like Pink Floyd. This song definately has a floyd feel with a little blues and a little GNR. Fucking Fantastic. First I thought it couldn't get better than The Blues. Then I was convinced it couldn't get better than "Better" Now I have to say TWAT is WOWWWWWWWWWW. Now this Song definately blows away anything on VR cd. Oh my god....

I am truly in awe of this song.  Can you say "BIG GUN"Huh?  This is an epic song on the same level as estranged, coma, locomotive etc...

Axl screaming from the heart, guitars just going nuts.......who needs pussy when you have TWAT (Jameslofton gets the assist on that joke haha).  peace

Truly in awe...I am humbled by a song.  God I am so happy I never lost faith in GNR and Axl.

I agree 100%. His departure will be a big blow to CD. As I said in another thread, he redeems the average IRS towards the end. I cant even imagine what he did on these "Big Guns" we haven't heard.

Please, don't take this personally anyone, we all have different tastes--and that is how it should be. ?But, am I the only one here not drinking the Kool Aid, or in the Street Team? ?TWAT, imho, is the worst of the new songs I've heard. ?I have listened to it now 15 times, and it is a mess. ?Really, not very fluid, and god, I was waiting for a guy from Spinal Tap to jump through my computer at the end of the song during the three minute guitar solo (not bad playing, but a little over the top).

I have to disagree.

I am not crazy about the start, but it opens up into this awesome song.

Slow start.............great finish.

That should probably tell us something about the disfunctionality of Axl and the situation that he walked away from such strong material. He must have been totally miserable to pick up and walk away knowing that the material was their for a great album.

Minneapolisnewsman.. I agreed with you when I first heard TWAT that it wasn't as good as IRS and Better, but after I listened to it over and over I find it to be pretty amazing, espechally at the end. ?I can't say if I like it better than IRS or not, and I haven't heard all of Better so I don't want to make judgement there, but IMO all 3 tracks are great and have my hopes up higher for CD than ever before.

I wasnt that impressed with TWAT in the same way I wasn't that impressed with IRS.

Its because they both sound like demos.. and you can tell alot of things still need to be fixed.

Axls voice in TWAT is very backround. I like it.. especally the keyboard at the start.. but i'll reserve my final opinion for the studio.

Poor axl.. i was really hoping this wouldnt leak too.. but o well..
