Nothing's really wrong with this song, but I expect someone with Axl's talent to drop an album in every 3 years with each songs better than TWAT.? Kiss
Good point! ok

CD has been in the making since 1997. What VR did  in a couple months is irrelevant. Going by the VR timetable, Axl should have had a 'Slither' type hit on MTV back in late 1997.

Just have a question what the hell would b perfection in a song to you, what do you need?

Im confused by some posters who like one part or another, tell me what is perfect.

Ive been a fan since 1987, saw the band in all incarnations 14 times, and as much as I love every tune, well no, there are a few i dont bother with.

But my  point is  for every tune I love and my all time fave is NIGHTTRAIN BTW, I can bitch about subtle thing s I dont care for , but god damn, its fucking music,!!!!!!!!

Alot of people here are NOW the ones being perfectionist.

Send me some of your music , better yet post it so e can all have the opppurtunity to lissten and remark.

But inside Ive always known it would always be like this, please some but not everyone.

I thought Axl IS the perfectionist, that's why it's been taking so long. But if you give me 13 millions, 10+ years and the right over the GN'R name, I'm sure I'd present a musically better record.   Tongue  Nothing's really wrong with this song, but I expect someone with Axl's talent to drop an album in every 3 years with each songs better than TWAT.  Kiss

LOL I like your response , but you obviously didnt readmy whole post

Somehow this song reminds me of "Telegraph Road" by Dire Straits. Same kind of classic vibe, long solo at the end... luckily the lyrics are much better

But yeah, this is the reason I've been wasting my time checking all the latest rumours everyday. Now it feels worth it. TWAT has a place in my top5 Gn'R songs already and I can't wait to hear the finished version. Hope they'll keep some of Bucket's guitar parts on chinese democracy

This tune is unbelievable.

It grows on you. First time, I was unsure. Now I'm blown away.

This blows EVERY Velvet Revolver song out of the water. Truth.

Amazing.

Oh my good you're fuckin right.
Listened to it today, it has grown on me, this song is so HUUUUUGE.
I love it when Axl sings "To those malnegotiations, to simulate a call" and the guitar playing along the notes.
Less synth sounds and a little louder orchestration and it's perfect.
The lenght is not radio friendly though, and I hate radio-edited-songs.

To compare a demo with led zeppelin isn't ok. Led Zeppelin has done so many great songs as has GNR.

Very impressed I must say. Incredible vocals and a nice overall sound, VERY catchy, the guitar complements the track and does not overpower it. I think everything is amalgamated excellently.

Brilliant, cant wait for the rest.

I'm actually surprised the reaction to this song on the average has been anything less than HOLY SHIT!!!
I got chills when I first listened to TWAT. I read someone describe the last half as '4 minutes of wigging out' and while I agree, I do so in a positive light.

The chorus is really the only part of the song that, to me, doesn't fit very well. However, the pay off of this song is certainly the last half of it. Crazy Fn' guitars, haunting background vocals (I would do anything for you), building upon one another into an emotional mess. Very, very powerful IMO.

It's an amazing song.? There isn't anyone else out there right now putting out songs with shredding guitars and vocals that take the best of both traditional and modern rock.? Not anyone good, anyway.

In fact, I would say TWAT is better than November Rain, and Estranged put together.

Just like the other two songs, I love it.  The piano part reminds me a lot of the piano line from Estranged, after the piano solo.  Anyone else agree?

IRS is still my favorite out of all of these.  But barely.

The chorus is really the only part of the song that, to me, doesn't fit very well.

I thought that too. I was like 'what the hell is going on here' but after listening to it dozens of times it really does grow on you and I love that part now.

It's a two part song for me. This first part is brilliant then you get that little 'estranged piano' vibe and the second part is just awesome.

This song is so fucking ridiculously awesome. ok

my sentiments exactly, there's something wrong with the chorus. Doesn't sound right. I don't know what it is. I thought I was the only one who didn't like the chorus, the one at 0:55 seconds.... it's messy, the guitars, vocals, I dont know what to make of it. The rest of the song is fucking awesome!!!! But remember (and I should too) it's a demo, so I hope axl noticed the same thing about the chorus.  Grin

That's because it's a demo  ok

I love the chorus.  It needs to have a cleaner mix, but I love the lyrics, they get stuck in your head and fit the song perfectly
