Today i found LIES on a bookstore which sells used CDs... The version i found had the UNCENSORED booklet.
When did they censor the booklet? And why?
Now i have bouth..
And why are there stars behind the track listing on the actual CD?
Is it hard to get this version today?

yeah, the "wife beating" was a first press, then replaced with "lies*lies*lies" on later pressings.
actually i found a copy of the original cover in Paris, pretty cheap, for 5 euros or something. brasilian (or all south america?) pressings still have the original cover, but the colour of the album is more yellow, like it spent too much time on the sun. they also still have the original appetite cover on their current pressings.

learn something new everyday, just checked my collection and ive got both versions, thought it was just the inner sleeve that was censored.... never noticed that before.  and i call myself a collector

ive got all three originals with uncensored sleeve, but the tape has a different cover...without the wife beating.
does a copy exist with the wife beating slogan or is it just vinyl and cd...ive got 2 tapes and their both the same?
as you can see the tape insert has? "elephant gives birth" but has the uncensored pic with no "wife beating"

if the re-issue is elephant gives birth, then why are some uncensored when the wife beating got censored?
