I don't believe there's a reason...

« Reply #100 on: March 08, 2007, 03:27:49 PM »

oh, and I'm praying for a pre-sale, is that gonna happen here??
I'm also praying it here! Cheesy
Hmm i'm saving money already, getting my camera ready and I'm deciding if I only will use my cellphone's camera or a sony cybershot!  Grin

wow, difficult decision there...  Grin
the problem is that a cyber-shot is much bigger than my cellphone and I'm not a girl to hold strange things in my arms lol.
 rofl

Well, if you can't take the cyber-shot then I think you shouldn't bother trying to film the show with your cell phone, the quality will be terrible Tongue

I'll try using my digital camera, it's not great but beats a cell phone Smiley
it beats by far but my cellphone has a camera with 2mb pixels. And it's a Sony, not thaaaaat bad Tongue

Yeah, 2 Megapixels should make some pretty cool videos Smiley
My cell phone camera is crap, it's VGA
maybe you can use your digital camera... if you go there with a bunch of friends that won't be a problem I guess. I just don't think you'll be ready after you hear the first jungle riff. Grin

oh hell yeah, I'm going to Porto Alegre for sure!

I wish they would play the "pavilh?o" in front of the airport, I think that's the only place in Porto Alegre where I can go by car and not get lost, LOL (I went there to see the Strokes in 2005)

Just kidding, I'll go see them no matter where they play, I hope I can attend more than one show when they come to Brazil

LOL just take a cab...hope you will get an Internacional Fan...Gremio Fans might not wanna go that way SmileySmiley Too bad they play in Gigantinho, that gotta be one of the worst venues ever! Acoustics is horrible....wished they had chosen an open air instead...the openair stage near the Usina would have been amazing!

Ola para todos os gauchos!

I'm from Floripa Smiley, but my father lives in Caxias. So when I went to see the Strokes at the "pavilh?o" I stayed at my father's and just drove to Porto Alegre a few hours before the show. I was afraid to get lost, but I was glad the venue was right at the entrance of the city.

Anyway, I'll probably do the same this time (so I won't have to spend on hotel), I'll just need to ask directions Cheesy

Yeah, I know that, it will be hard to keep a steady hand. I think I'll have to settle for a few pictures and short videos Smiley

Porto Alegre, Manaus, Rio De Janeiro, S?o Paulo and Brasilia.

This seems to be a full scale Brazil tour. I am so happy for all the Brazilian Gunners fans. I think they are still so huge there, Never in my life I have seen so many people wear GnR shirts.
Wished I could fly over, but flights are so damn expensive from Europe!!!
I wanted to fly to some show in europe but that's expensive.
Dude, you have no idea of how the media is promoting the show already lol. The biggest online websites here and some newspapers already confirmed the show yesterday or today and they are even saying that the promoter will announce new show dates here until monday. This is a really huge promotion here.  hihi

You people from Floripa gotta be the luckiest people on the world since you live in paradise there:) Hope it stays that way.
To go to the Gigantinho you only have to cross the whole city Grin I guess the easiest way is to drive the highway till the end (rodoviaria) and there go to the right on the outer circle (next to the lake passing the usina) to the internacional Stadium...the only trick is to get on the right lane in time:)Smiley

Most likely there will be an after party in Club Opinao, great rock club!

Heavy Metal / Hard Rock is still so damn big in all of South America, so I think GnR touring there, especially in Brazil is gonna be a huge success! And since GnR is one of the view Hard Rock Bands left I am positive it will be great! But do the "mainstream" Brazilian GnR Fans know about the "new" GnR?

GnR at Copacabana, Rio would be great, like the RS or Madonna did....You think that they still would be big enough for that in Brazil?

I guess we'll know for sure in a few days?

I mean confirmation from the promoters.

Yeah Jarmo, but we'll see if all those dates are for real.

Globo.com only says S?o Paulo, Rio and Porto Alegre. Nothing about Manaus or Bras?lia..

And where's the Nordeste dates? Sad

Anyways, I'll be here in S?o Paulo! Cheesy

For sure I would. But yeah, for sure it would be a lot easier to me if they come to Sao Paulo and Rio. Smiley

happy for you voodoo! just a quick question: did you see guns during the last tour in europe / usa; or were you at rir3?
Thanks man! Never saw them live, only watched Paris 92 and RIR3 live in TV broadcast. Sad

Different promoters for those shows?

Maybe they're not properly announced yet or just rumored...

Let's just wait for the major announcement here in the next couple of days and see. Smiley

Floripa can be a paradise if you like beaches and stuff, but when it comes to good rock concerts it's surely no "paradise city". Good and/or famous bands hardly ever play here

Thanks for directions, although they seem precise I'm pretty sure I'll get lost anyway and I'll have to stop and ask directions, lol, but that's just me

BTW, I hate both Inter and Gremio Cheesy

Man, although I'm really excited I'm still waiting for an official confirmation. Gotta by the show tickets, the plane tickets... Gotta ask permission to miss work some days. I plan to go here in Sao Paulo, in Rio (I was at RIR 3) and in Porto Alegre.
By june I'll be broken, but as happy as one can be.

And you all can expect lots of pictures, clips, instant updates and coverage from the shows.

2007 is the year! At least we, brazilian fans, will be seen them live. God, this is fucking awesome.

I'm thinking the same thing, man. Won't se Aerosmith + VR to save the money for the shows in RIO and in Porto Alegre.

Hey, we should set up a gunner meeting before the shows.
