LOL...Moonraker... rofl

Now that was a horrible Bond film.

I love Moonraker. It's a lot of fun.

The ending is fucking hilarious!

"What's Bond doing"?

"I think he's attempting reentry."

Also, I disagree with those that say a Bond actor should only do three movies.

I think Thunderball and Diamonds Are Forever were two of Sean's best.

For your Eyes Only and Octopussy (Moore's 5th and 6th films) were also two of his best.

I hope Craig does five or six films.

I haven't even seen his first one!  ok

But were Thunderball and Diamonds "official"?  rofl

Yes, Thunderball and Diamonds are Forever are offical.

Moore's first Bond film is Live and Let Die, btw.

I seem to recall that Sean did an "unofficial" bond film. When he was a bit older. Anyone?

That film is called Never Say Never Again. It was released in '83 (while Moore was the official Bond) and competed with Octopussy that year. While both films were successful, Ocotopussy did a little better.

Never Say Never Again is NOT an official film, as it was not put out by EON.

Firstly i love both Timothy Dalton films, i always hate it when people knock those, especially License To Kill.? As for Brosnan he was a good Bond dogged down by poor films, shame really, Goldeneye was good but i never want to watch any of his others again.

On the subject of On Her Majesty's Secret Service, for years i have wanted this film to be remade, the story is great and it's fairly enjoyable it's only let down by the lead actor.? I remember reading once he was a model and they knew upon signing him he was a weak actor so to cover that up they gave him one of the stronger stories.

On the Connery front as a kid i loved all of his films, watching them again now i only really dislike Diamonds Are Forever.? As for Roger Moore, i have to admit i love cheese and really loved his films (bar Moonraker that plain sucked).? I know you guys seem to knock it but for me A View To A Kill was and is top notch.? True the plot was stupid but do you ever watch a film just for, well, lighthearted enjoyment.? As a big Christopher Walken & Avengers fan and with one of my fave themes, cheesy one liners, decent chases (Fire Engine stuff with the bridge, plus i did horse riding for years so that aspect struck a chord with me), no it's not serious and intelligent but do they all have to be, variety is the spice of life.

I do like the new direction though, Craig is a decent Bond, i found with the film it's one that is hard to digest in a way.? Great ride to start with but then it kind of went crappy at the end, overall solid stuff and after watching it and letting it sink in i thought yeah that was damn good and can't wait to watch it again.? Odd thing with the theme as well, heard it months ago, though it sucked, but when i heard it in the film itself i thought it rocked, and just thinking about the start of the film again, fantastic stuff, not sure about it being the best film but definately the best start.

Overall looking over the films i have loved Bond since a kid and the only ones i don't like as said are Moonraker, Diamonds are Forever and every Brosnan since Goldeneye...ewww....actually that's a fair few, but anyway, props to Dalton (Always slated) & Moore (Knocked for the cheese).

Who did the theme song for the latest Craig film?

It wasn't among the most memorable Bond songs, but it was ok.

Well, it certainly beat the "Die Another Day" song, by Ms. Washed-up.

License to kill the un-edited version (finally available after 18 years) is full of scences which are shocking for a Bond film.
Yeah those 2 films are top notch, well said, as for this unedited version....is it part of one of those new special edition dvds?? Is there a lot of extra stuff.

Oh and on the subject of those ultimate edition dvds, has anybody got them, are the extras really good, all this James Bond talk has got me thinking about picking up some of them....
A few months ago I just said "what the fuck" and bought all four of the box-sets, along with the non-EON Bond film, Never Say Never Again, for a complete collection. It was expensive, but worth every penny, as I've really been enjoying the films. I usually watch a few a week. All of the films come with a bonus DVD (not available if you buy them separate) that contain tons of extras--TV commercials, trailers, interviews, documentaries, TV specials, music videos, etc.
Do any of them have any stand out deleted scenes?  Any with a lot that could of made the film better?

What's this like..

License to Kill has a few deleted scenes that aren't in the film but that you can watch under the "deleted scene" section. Most of them add to the story and it's a shame that they were taken out. In one you find out more about the Truman Lodge character and how he became Sanchez's advisor. In another, while Sanchez is being interviewed, you get a sense of how much power he yields.

License to Kill
is by far the most underrated film in the series.

I've waited years to finally have the unedited Licence to kill (which was censored on its original release)

Call me sad, but finally having the cinema version was a great feeling

My ranking of the JAMES BOND actors?favorite to least favorite?

1. Roger Moore

For some fans it's a heresy to rank Moore above Connery, but he's always been my personal favorite. He actually gave the LEAST accurate portrayal of Fleming's Bond as depicted in the books, but I think he's the coolest. He just has this sophisticated playboy dandiness that I find enticing.

2. Sean Connery

As Roger Ebert noted, Connery is the one who planted the flag as Bond. He had it all?suave, utterly irresistible to women, determined yet not without a sense of humor, knowledgeable about all the finer things in life, yet not ostentatious or obnoxious. Connery certainly was the man?and ranks just barley below Moore in my book.

3. Daniel Craig

Since Craig only has one Bond film under his belt as of this writing, it may seem premature to rank him so high, but I think his performance in CASINO ROYALE and his potential warrants it. Craig is not your typical Bond?he's not too suave or sophisticated?he makes mistakes, he's rough around the edges, he's a meat-and-potatoes kind of Bond, a total departure from all his predecessors. But it works. After 45 years of Bond films, Craig's 007?a conflicted, lean, mean killing machine, with a chip on his shoulder is a welcome change. It will be exciting to see where Craig takes the character.

4. Pierce Bronson

Bronson may be ranked on the lower end of the list, but he still made a great 007. Props to Bronson for kick-starting the franchise after a lull through the first half of the 90s and bringing Bond to a new generation of fans. A determined assassin, suave in all ways like his predecessors, Bronson also brought more humanity to the role.

5. Timothy Dalton

Ranked towards the bottom of the list, Dalton still made a fine Bond. Dalton actually gave most accurate portrayal of Fleming's 007...totally serious and almost humorless, the antipathy of his predecessor Moore. A somber Shakespearian actor, there was nothing really "cool" about Dalton's Bond, which may be why some people never liked him in the role. His two films as 007, THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS and LICENSE TO KILL rank among two of the more underrated films in the series, and I would have to say that Dalton is the most underrated Bond.

6. George Lazenby

While ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE stands as one of the best films in the series, Lazenby was definitely not the best actor to portray 007 as he was basically just a stand-in for Connery who refused to do the film. Lazenby just seemed kind of stiff with no charisma. Some actors have "it" and others don't?put George down for "don't." He was actually offered a six film contract and he turned it down?bad career move?but definitely for the best, as Connery returned two years later for one last film before passing the torch to Moore. Still many props to George for doing many of his own stunts and his martial art skills are certainly impressive.

remember, originally they wanted Roger moore as bond...they couldnt get him, so they got sean connery...

I wouldnt put craig so high...just yet at least...it all depends on if his other bonds are good...look at peirce brosnan...goldeneye is IMO one of the best bonds...but then after that nothing else he made was good..

craig could have the same failling...but well see how the next movie is!
