"Axl is just another version of the Ayatollah"

« on: March 16, 2007, 07:55:44 PM »

I have a question about these box sets.? Currently I have Vol. II as shown below in the photo it consists of:
 - Certificate
- Kill Your Idol T-shirt
- Leather Wallet and Keychain
- Laminated Crew Pass
- 4 Packets of tattoos
- The Spaghetti Incident? CD
- The Tortellini Accident CD

My question - is anything missing from this set?? The problem is, every time I see this box set pictured or listed whether it be Volume I or II the contents seem to vary slightly. For example:

www.gnrsource.com list the contents as follows:
Vol. I
Certificate
Post Cards
T-shirt
Bandana
Tattoos
Poster Flag
7 CD Singles (Civil War,Don't Cry,Knockin' On Heaven's Door,Live And Let Die,November Rain,Yesterdays,You Could Be Mine)
Pen,Watch & Keyring

Vol. II
Certificate
Wallet + Chain
1993 Crew Pass
Belt + Buckle
The Spaghetti Inccident
The Tortellini Accident
Calendar

This site www.gunsnroses.gr/collection/ lists the contents of Vol. II as:
Certificate
Laminated crew tour pass
GNR watch
Poster calendar
Spaghetti Incident CD
Tortellini Accident CD

This site http://gnr.dobrej.net/discography_det.html lists the contents of each as follows:
Vol. 1
Certificate
Post cards
T-shirt
bandana
tattoos
poster flag
7 CD Singles
Pen, Watch & Keyring

Vol. II
Certificate
Wallet + Chain
1993 crew pass
belt + buckle
TSI?
The Tortellini Accident
Calendar

This site http://www.arocknid.com/gnr/breakdown/ lists the contents of each as:
Vol. 1
Certificate of authenticity
Five post cards
Tshirt - "kill your idols"
Bandanna
Six removable tattoos
Poster flag
Seven CD singles
GN'R pen, watch and key ring

Vol. II
Certificate of authenticity
Leather wallet + chain
1993 laminated crew pass
Leather belt + GN'R buckle
The spaghetti incident CD
The tortellini Accident CD
GN'R calender

Pandora's site http://gnrcollectibles.free.fr/html/boxsets/tophat2.htm lists the contents of her Vol. II as:
Leather Wallet and Chain
Laminated Crew Pass
Watch
Callendar
The Spaghetti Incident CD
The Tortellini Accident CD

eil recently sold Vol I and listed the contents as follows:
8 CD singles [see Tracklisting box], 5 sealed sets of temporary tattoos, a pen-on-a-rope, key ring, giant flag, t-shirt, wristwatch, postcards & certificate, 3 bandanas and metal pendant!!
Here's the link to the photo: http://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=26754

I know this is a long post and now I probably have everyone just as confused as I am but you get the point as to the slight variability of each box set.? Just wondering if anyone else out there owns either one of these box sets (I know they were limited to 500 copies of each so not a lot of them are out there) and if you do I would love to know what the contents of yours are.

Just so you know, the description of the list on www.gunsnroses.gr/collection is from eil.com.

I usually copy the descriptions from eil, as they're very accurate.

Ok cool, I pretty much had no doubt that each of the descriptions were correct and that people had accurately listed whatever was in their particular box set, it was just weird that they all varied slightly.  Mine seems to be predominantely  the same as other Vol. II's but missing a calendar and maybe a watch, but instead it has the T-shirt which seems to be commonly listed as being in Vol. I.

Whats The Tortellini Accident?

Original versions of songs that GN'R covered on the TSI? and some bonus tracks.

Yeah, I basically made a list of all the stuff I have so when I see something on Ebay, I can check quickly if I have it already.

Plus I intend to open a Guns N' Roses museum someday... I don't have the money to do it now, but who knows what the future brings?

I made a small step though... I bought the domain name...  Grin

Wow, great comment and you added so much to the discussion.

But I'm not expecting anything smarter from people like you on this board.
