bigbri...does that still sound like Buckethead on the solos...they sound a little slower...especially the first one....you would be the one who would know...what do you think?

Sounds like the same Bucket stuff to me. But I'm at work and can't give it a real close listen.

cool...yeah i thought the first solo was a little choppier than the original version of better...like he was playing less notes....probably all in my head...or its just the mix

There's a difference in the 2nd chorus. In the first demo Axl sang "Now I know YOU KNOW better" and in this one he just sings "Now I knoy you better" (like the live versions). That wouldn't be hard to fake it with an Adobe Audition or Nuendo, but would need way too much time just to make a joke.

And for those who are saying about Buckethead and Robin's parts, they are just the same as the demo, just with a different mix. But there is no way this would be the final version, just compare to the H-D ad (wich, BTW, hadn't this backing vocal in the "na na na" part). It still sounds poorly mixed, but now I dunno if this is home-made or not.

It's either a new demo or a fan-made remix of the one we have. We're still on the fence.

Bumblefoot and Dizzy are saying its real BUT NOT THE FINAL PRODUCT.  I'm likin it a lot...just need to turn Bucketheads parts back up!

If the quality of it was lower I could believe it was a fake.  Someone with Pro Tools and some very good skills in producing music could make it as far as adding effects and layering the music differently. 

It would be extremely difficult if not impossible to take the original that we all have and make it sound this much crisper and cleaner.

IMO, This new version has to be coming out of the GNR camp (Which is promising) but I hope it's not the final version. ?I think Axl's vocals are a lot better here, but they really do need to turn those guitars up. ?The version is good, ?but it's missing that "it" quality. That's not acceptable for the (possible) 1st single of an album that's taken this long. ?This song has got to hit people in the f'ing face and make them pay attention! IMO

I'm fairly sure that you can hear the vocals on AFD, and the guitars seemed to be fairly loud if I remember right. ?

Considering that Axl has said that the new album has arrangements like Queen it shouldn't be any surprise that it's heavily produced.  Any album that's been in the recording process this long is bound to be meticulously produced anyway

well guess what, most of the tracks are the same... only a diferent, smoother mix, with some synth.
let it be... it's not the final version. all they need to do is push the guitars a little bit in the bridge///
