It's an intense song as well, and that part makes for a cool break before hitting the ending.

I think I might be the only one on this forum who believes the song is very mediocre.

It sounds like GNR doing a Linkin Park song in my opinion. The chorus is lame and the heavy riff before the screaming middle is too Godsmacky to be GNR.

Overall I would give the song a 5/10.

I like Catcher in the Rye the most, that or The Blues.

Too Godsmacky? Doesn't sound a thing like Godsmack.

The begining I dislike. Chuck the High pitch vocals and just have a guitar intro and gid rid of or lessen the computer sounds and I would enjoy it more.

I love the Rock AM Ring mp3. It has this amazing sense of urgency about it. Plus "I only wanted you to see things for your-se-se-self!" is just so well delivered  drool

I don't know if this has been asked (there are 86 pages) but is the leaked song a demo, or does it sound like a finished song? Seems to be like it sounds as though it could be on the album, as is.

It's a demo... the very late stages of a demo, but a demo nonetheless.

I hope the rythm guitar tone will be different on the record. realy. it sounds too "emo/metal" too me, wich is weird for GN'R. that's not really the right sound for GN'R I think. Why not using a kick-ass Rock n' Roll guitar tone on rythm? It would make the song better.
It's not a bad song (although you all overrate a lot that song on that board), but IMO it would sound much better with a more Classic Rock?guitar tone (like Slash, Izzy, Gilby, jeff beck etc... guitar tone)? on the main riff. Why turning into "metal"? Huh

Anyway overall, "better" is not in my Top 5 of all newGNR tracks.

Why would they want a classic rock tone for something that isn't a classic rock song?  In case you hadn't noticed, Slash, Izzy and Gilby aren't in the band any more and the people who are in the band naturally don't have the same style.
Personally, I think the album would be one big waste of everybody's time if it turned out to be another classic rock album... that's what the people who left the band (except Duff) wanted all along, and it'd be very sad if they walked out for nothing.

Yes, but we can't talk about it right now.  Don't even try to mention a certain something, it will get deleted.

its a great song, one of my favorites. i look at it like an updating of sweet child o'mine-- a little older, wiser. those who don't like that comparison maybe don't like the elements of better that i like or maybe they don't like better at all. but i treasure every second of it.

This is seriously the most idiotic thing I have ever seen in my entire life. Do you realise how stupid this is??

I dont care if Merck told you to do this or not, you need to be a man and tell HIM how ridiculous this is. You are letting GNR management walk all over you and make you look like a damn fool. And seriously hurting the credibility of this site.

You want to ban me for saying this then so be it, but its the truth and you know it.
