"Better" - discuss it in this thread

I would agree that "Better" is better than most of what was on the Illusion records.  Maybe some of what was on Appetite.  I emphasize "some" and "maybe".

Anyway, it's an unfair judgement at this point because the finished version of "Better" isn't out yet.

I don't know....this studio cut sounds more like a final studio cut rather than a demo-studio cut.


If anything, they'd re-record it is all. But I don't think they could make it much better as a recording than it is.

We shall see.

I know what you mean. I think this song is going to blow people away on a studio album. The way they played it in 01-02, the fact that it was the one newer tune introduced at the VMA's and the fact that not only are they still playing it, but that it has become a fan favorite,  shows that this song is going to sound very special on the album -

Your are the type whose CD reviews I will skip. Seems like someone using the name MikePatton would be a little open minded. CD isn't AFD. Its not Lies. Its not UYI. Its not TSI. There should be no comparison to any prior GNR albums.

Yes, same here Axlsroses.  It actually gives the audience a perfect time to scream their asses off!  I know I did at Hammerstein, and I will in Jersey!!
