He wanteds to do NR,Estranged,Patience,etc they did those songs. also check out the Matt Sorum quote regarding the band "standing up" to Axl.....its the same deal ...Axl was and always will be the leader.

The members in this group have contributed to the album. TOmmy has been saying this. And if you actually listen to the demos you might even hear a Buckethead influence  ok...how shocking.....and Dizzy said that one of his favorite tunes is The General which is a Brain song...

ok now im whipped on Better got the full version finally. final version of this song could be a #1 hit. can't keep it off repeat. solos are nice and all the goofy stuff in it

Ive never been the biggest fan of the new GN'R, to me there're a diffrent thing all together from Guns N' Roses but holy fuck can I just say that Better totaly rocks!

At first i wasnt sure about all the changes in the middle etc but I must say that each and everytime I listen to that song, it gets better. Same for Catcher in The Rye, which at first I thought was the weakest of all the leaked tracks, now I go about everyday humming the tune over and over in my head, its fantastic!

I guess if you want to love the new songs you need to be more open minded about the music, where as before, for the most parts Guns music was instantly amazing from first listen, the new material needs to be listened to with an open mind.

So yeah, to recap, Better is fuckin awsome  peace

Funny, the dodgy transition is what I notice on some of AFD songs.
You're so used to them that the transition on the old songs doesn't bother you but that on the new demo does.

It's a DEMO! Of course it needs work. The Audioslave demos, while still sounding fantastic? ok, ended up sounding nothing like the finished product. And they weren't using any synths and had half as many people on the tracks that the GNR demos have.

Just amazing.......

Simply amazing....

It's easily the best of the new songs we've heard so far in my opinion...demo or live....

Sure Buckethead's solo, and interludes are rather astonishing, but the standout guitar work of the track goes to Im guessing Mr. Finck around the 2:30 mark and the outro around the 3:55 mark.

That first solo is so NIN influenced.....I loves it.. Grin

This song must have some appeal to the younger generation my daughter is four and a half loves pop music but whenever this song is on in my car she sits there singin along to it pretty cool to hear and sweet ill make a rocker of her yet

Does anyone else notice some similarities between Locomotive's outro and Better's?

Both seem to have a very similar melody, although Better's is obviously sped up...

Check both tracks out, I just noticed because the Better outro puts me in same daze as Locomotive does... peace
