When i first heard T.W.A.T - Better - I.R.S - Catcher in the Rye i really wasn't sure. It wasn't Guns N'Roses. IRS i liked, Catcher i didn't like, T.W.A.T sounded average and Better as a no go. Now after some time has passed, Better is like my favourite song, I.R.S has faded alittle, T.W.A.T the 2nd half is so good and Catcher in the Rye seems the weakest.

It wasn't until lastnight i played afew tracks from the UYI albums that it hit me. While the new GnR songs sound very different, i like this new sound more, almost to the point of not liking the UYI material. Better and T.W.A.T make even Estranged sound slighly flat.

Looks like i might have to make my way over to the Download Fextival, if only for the finnal gig  Smiley

After the full version leaked, I think I kinda dissented in my opinion that 'Better' should be the first single, purely on the fact that I didn't think the funk-metal mid-section would play as well with the pop crowd as the rest of it, but the more I've listened to it, I can surely say this song would blow the world away as an introduction to this band and album. People grow to love the non-conventional parts of the song. There's a version someone (imsorry) made where he took out all of the mid-section and skipped straight from the chorus to Robin's amazing solo, making it standard rock fare, and it just doesn't have the same impact. This song is destined to be a rock classic. It's gonna shock everyone live, I'd imagine...

CITR is still growing on me, i think the lyrics are kind of week. Better is an amazing song. TWAT is amazing. IRS could use some improvement, but it still rocks.

i just heard better the full demo, and it dissapointed me so much!!!

the first 2 minutes of the song that i have heard previously, i loved it!!
but then the song changes with the solo...i dont know is not what i was expecting to hear
