The break in the middle (after Buckethead solo) sounds like Morello/Audioslave. And that 2nd solo, is that Robin?HuhHuh? He sounds like David fuckin Gilmour!!! That part after the second solo reminds a bit of darker Eagles/brighter Led Zeppelin, very 70's, fuckin great. SHIT I LOVE THIS SONG!!!  Grin

How's the guitar effect called, that appears at 2:30-2:31?

I'm not sure, but that could be a bypass or "kill switch" as the signal appears to be interrupted.

I can't stop listening either. This song is gonna be amazing if Axl does put it on the new album.

It's a manual controlled pitch shifter with an audio output pedal, for sure. With the added Bucket kill switch.

for me its the ability of axl to allow us to feel the anger. it like he put himself into the song and we feel it. I hope I explained that right.

As soon as the verse kicked in and Axl's voice came through, it's like I was back in high school again, and it was glorious.  What a triumphant return to form.  I can't say many bands can get an emotional response from me, but nostalgia has a lot of power.  Just a killer song.  Now if I could only hear TWAT...

I just had a day (YES A WHOLE DAY!) of not listening to the new songs and listened to them this morning on the way home from my gfs. I gotta say at first bits and piece of Better didn't really do it for me.. but now the whole song is just amazing. The first short solo and the longer solo are both just great.

Kinda gone off IRS which was my fave to start with. And TWAT (although I still don't listen to the last minute) will be a fans favourite for sure, I'm really enjoying it now.

The full song is fucked in ways I cant even describe. I really have no clue how Axl does it...i guess it's just one of those natural talents some are blessed with. yes

I wonder if he can replicate that screaming live repeatedly though. Huh

He can do it in patches like Live & Let Die at Leeds in 02, that was just amazing. Guess we'll soon find out what the voice is like these days  ok

I have to admit, I really like the little Buckethead guitar fill in half-time breaks. I know it's not cool to really dig guitar shredding but it really does sound cool and totally in context in this song. And dig that heavy riff breakdown!
