I really think that the final cut of Better will be very different from what we heard...Too much experimental on the song...it's great but it didn't fit in the song...They will probably remove some guitar parts...and fixed the techno part...

I can't wait to hear the studio version...remember that this is only a demo...the song was probably not even finished...

I think the guiar on the longest version is a bit all over the place, some is good, some feels it doesn't fit.. The 206 clip is the best version of this song./. The longer one where axl is screaming seems beyond his range now..  maybe it takes many listens or a finished product, I'll definetly try more listens but that was my first impression of the liongest demo.. Guitar is all over the place, speed doesn't always make the song, so,metimes the feeling is there other times it flys out the door

I think in the final version, they will cut the middle part of the song...I Really think they just jam in the middle of the song....remind me Rocket Queen live when they did the rap part...I really don't think they will keep that in the final version...Maybe they will keep the fast part, but they will make a better transition between it and the rest of the song...

I just listend to the extended version of Better.  At first, I was like... what the hell is this??!!  But after a few listens, I started to like the extended mid playing... and yes, I also thought about Rocket Queen live... as well as the numerous tempo changes.  The part where Axl starts yelling or what not... that was great!

Seems to me that this can't be the album version...clearly a demo, and I agree with most of you that this won't be the final version.
I like the song...but am far from loving it. I'll reserve judgement until I hear the version Axl wants us to hear, although I do love getting a sneak peak at these tracks.
For my money, Chinese Democracy and The Blues are still the two best NEW songs I've heard from GnR in the past 5 years.

am i the only one who doesn't think that Finck is the one playing the last solo?
it doesn't sound nothing like his guitar tone to me, and besides it resembles a lot more richards playing at the end of the blues or any other solo he does leads, it's less sloppy and with a great attack. it also reminds me some of the stuff from electrical tears from BH. so my money's either on richard or BH for the last solo.

actually, finck couldn't play that, that requires a lot more technique than he's shown. i know his playing, and i actually like it, but that's not him. it's way to smooth, and with some sweeps in the middle, very non-finck.
you're only saying it's finck cuz it's not a shredding part. but after listening to electrical tears from BH i'm almost certain it's him. it's his guitar tone and it's his style of playing also.
the only guy that could make it as smooth would be richard, but i don't think it's his tone... sounds like BH to me.
