Longer version of Better gets real heavy in the middle, guitar and Axl's voice, then kicks back to being similar to the first 2 minutes for the final minute of the 4:56 of the song.

Definately not fake.

GN'R is still heavy!!!!

Axl has to rework the transition from medium pace to fast pace someway...... it just doesn't sound right how the song takes the turn..............

Axl has managed to take his most marketable track then send it into overdrive at the end and make it tottaly unradio friendly.

But, fuck he sounds great when he screams.

thats was straaaaaaaaaange

i don't even know what to say

just a pinch too metally for my taste in the middle, would of complimented the song more to go for an industrial type riff than that metal riffage

The middle part offers great contrast...LOVE it.

Amen to that.. the composition of this song is outstanding as a whole. the monologue like motif/chorus bit in the end sounds really touching now. "No one ever told me when I was lonely just thought I'd known better better."
I expected this kinda turn. This is not as crazy as I expected it to be.
The vocals (2:50~3: 09) are definitely to be fixed. It's only a demo.

a gorgeous hybrid is born. headbanger

Does Robin play the last solo? I think that's the highlight of the song.

i like buckets solo, the 2nd half of the song is pretty cool, remember, just a demo, so when this is done, who knows how cohesive it'll wind up sounding....cool parts though, the final product should be insane.

please take robin's solo OFF.....he has NO MELODIC feel to his solo. BH might sound like a computer, but atleast its INTERESTING.....robin needs to play chords, and look cool on stage. his solos SUCK.

but i like the song, i think its the best of the new crop we've heard. if they want to make it the first single, it might need to be shortened for a release version.

completely disagree. To me robin captures the soul that slash has and is in tune with the emotion axl is trying to convey. buckethead on the other hand is just cramming a bunch of poorly selected notes.... his whole solo section licks ass and should be removed

The only thing Robin is able to capture from Slash is his sloppiness. A bunch of poorly selected notes? Well, I read some of your posts on the forum, such an uneducated guess is typical for your ignorance.

-PEACE-

uneducated guess.... dude if you like bucket's chromatic unintelligent wanking thats great... but don't be a dick.

I personally love robins playing and always have. I find bucket just crams a zillion notes in and it doesn't work (with the exception of the cool sweep just before the second verse)

I think robin is waayyy closer to the original gnr form than bucket. this isn't the 80's no one cares about shredding anymore

3:11 into the track, that weird bubbly sound, that's been buggin me too.
It reminds me of the bit out of NWA's Straight Out of Compton, when one of the rapper's is running or doing something.
