Better is really good.  Makes you move.  Can't wait till hear it on the album.  Sorry Axl for hearing it.  I have spent 15 minutes a day for the last 12 years on the net trying to find out about this album.  But I will buy 5 copies to make it up to you.

what zombux said. Save that My favs are a bit different to his.

Didn't Axl say none of the newsongs played in 2002 were the big guns?

Quote
I mean what old GN'R song could you compare it to really?

If forced, I'd say Sweet child of mine?
well, We've only heard a part of the song like jk said.
And I feel like I know this song long time. And not some other song similar to this one. Odd innit?

Ha ha... I'm only giving them to people that will hear the new stuff, then download it. I figure putting the whole album in their hand will help make them a bigger fan and help Axl get back on top. peace

Just because it's one of his faves, it doesn't mean it's a big gun for the album.

Certainly sounds like it has the potential to be a fan favourite.

I don't care. my most beloved GNR songs are Estranged, Coma, Locomotive and Nightrain - no big guns
Three of the four songs you just mentioned were considered the big guns at that time.

No way is Better a big gun. Its a great clip, but its more likely just the 'pop hit' to help sell the album to the masses.

I agree...from the little we've heard, I just don't hear a Big Gun.  Sounds like a cool tune with potential, but it hasn't wow'd me to the point where I NEED to hear it over and over again.

I may have reacted differently to it if i had just heard it accidently randomly played on the radio and didnt know it existed, But the fact that i sat there watching it download getting all excited and stuff then playing it kinda forces me to like it. All those lucky people who were into gnr back in the day but left it alone since 93 or so are gonna get a real treat when they first hear it on the radio, maybe not knowing who it is at first but really liking it, then finding out its gnr will be so exciting for them.

Anyone else notice this?  I didn't until I listened to it on the stereo, but towards the end of the clip when the tempo of the song starts to change, there's some guitar work that is distinctly Buckethead's, those who are familiar with his solo work will know what I'm talking about.

This is good news, I hope even if he's not in the band the parts he recorded are included in the album

Better (as much we have heard of it) and Madagascar are lyriclly the best songs that Guns N' Roses ever have wrote.

Better is perfect ! Everything about it - voice, riff, intro, lyrics and I don't feel like it's a demo, it's sound like almost final mix, at least to me,I wouldn't polish it a lot if at all

I even enjoy the intro. Very touching song.

are you talking about that slightly strange guitarline playing underneath there?
yeah might be. if the song is from the same era as IRS then I'd expect Bucket to be on it.
I just hope his brilliant work will still be on the finished album!

The intro kinda sounds like a slower tempo'd techno ass "Move To The City."

in the intro did anyone else notice the "mr brownstone" like muted notes (just like in the intro in that one too)Huh

i dont know if the intro melody is Robin or Bucket. id guess Robin because of the wah pedal use, but the tone sounds like something off of Monsters and Robots
