"Better" became like a new silkworms song...do you think so?

I don't think I can agree with that statement, no.

After hearing full version of better many times (lost counting) all I can say is that I love it, best of the new songs and I can't wait to hear the final/live version.

Come summer, come!

The song really needs work to sound cohesive.

Axl shouldn't have changed the lyrics at the 2:09 mark, it just confused me?threw me off too much.

I've begged and pleaded for this cd for years. ?Well, I stopped pleading a couple years ago but one thing's for sure..............

........you won't hear me complain one bit about the music.

What it is...........is what it is.

Some people won't be happy no matter what.

This stuff is only a glimpse of the unfinished product. ?Prior to this year we all had our doubts if Axl was even working on this thing. ?That has been cleared up.

If you like it, that's cool. I'm just saying it's disappointing to me, I was diggin' the 2:06 version a lot. The structure is bad: jazz music can go off in all sorts of directions and still sound tight.

It's as if they took 2 separate recording sessions and tried to meld it into one song. Oh well

Snap from the first listen I thought so.

I loved the 2:06 version, but was not liking the full version after first listen.

However, now that I've listened to it about 10 times, I'm lovin' it.  It's different that what I'd expected, but also good in a different way than I had expected.

Definitely my favorite of the three leaks.

wow.....dont really know what to think the whole feel of the song changes with the middle part.had to listen to it a few times just to come to terms with it.id also agree that the transition needed a bit of work buckets solo seemed to come from nowhere but all in all pretty cool.
now can we please stop these leaks.

I love BH but I think his parts on this song near themiddle suck and need to be changed. His solo does not fit the song, its out of place.

Its what makes the song.. The song getting heavy is what makes it. Its the factor that it is a Guns N' Roses song.. Axl going heavy is indeed a damn good thing. I hope he has more heavy tracks with out the computer shit.

Guns will be moving forward and surprisingly (without giving away any details) this unfortunate set of circumstances may have given us the opportunity to take our recording that one extra step further.

From the RiR4 press release

All the new song we've heard are from what time? 2002-2003?

I've allways wondered this statement and if these demos sound this good, how great will the final versions sound?

I definitely have faith in Axl and the rest of the band.

Absolutely.

The underlying Robin part is great. BH should not be noodling. He needs a electric tears type solo in there

My only complaint is that little part after that awesome screaming part... those strange sounds (I assume it's Buckethead doing them) need to get out.

By the way, as anyone figure out the rest of the lyrics? I can't, and it seems no one as posted them yet... I'm surprised.

Does anybody think that it is ironic that these songs are heavily influenced by Bucket? Sounds like a ploy to get him back in the band or it is a gift to let us hear what Bucket would have sounded like with Guns. ?Undecided

I, for one, don't like the song as much as TWAT. The begining part with the high voice is just plain dumb. The heavy parts with the shredding and the high voice are killer, but the entire song is not cohesive.
