Am I the only one that thinks that (hypothetically) even if this is the "finished" version.. it still kicks ass, and I would love for it to be on the album?  I mean it seems alot of people are bitching and saying about how they should fix or that, turn this up while turning something else down.  I'm happy with it as it is.  Its definitly an "evolved" version of what GnR's old sound was.  I already got it blasting on my ipod.  Am I the only one that is happy with it like it is??

I like this version about the same.  I don't really understand why people are freaking out about it.  It's pretty much the same song, just with the electronic parts turned up louder, cleaner vocals, and the added layer of vocal harmonies at the end, very Queen-like by the way.  It still sounds great.  I actually like the heavy section better  now, it sounds fuller and the vocals are awesome

Good, I thought I was the only one who heard the Queen influence in the song. smoking

I really like this version. Some of the effects are quite 'funky' but suit the song and fit in well!

This is really exciting me to hear the rest of the album and some new tracks!

yeh Jarmo, im amazed sometimes how fkn professional you stay when you obviously get some a$$holes trying to p!ss you off all the time.

If it was me, i would just f@cking swear at them all day, but you keep it? Cool

I agree 100%. It is just terrible  when people have opinions and the audacity to express them.  Wink

They played it at least twice today.  I heard it around three in the afternoon and then again right at five, right when everyone gets off work.  I called them and they told me they could neither confirm or not confirm that it was guns n roses.  Then he pretty much told me that he just had to talk that way so he wouldn't get a call from a lawyer.  They guy also told me that he doesn't think the album will ever be out, but who cares what he thinks...now the midwest is Better.

The last versus is much more clear in this version.

"The promised love that can't keep up with your adoration"  is genuis.

Everything after the 4 minute mark is simply amazing, I love the last verse, and the harmony at the end.

Pretty sure these lyrics are 100% correct -

Quote
"Better" - Guns N' Roses

No one ever told me when I was alone, they just thought I'd know better, better...
No one ever told me when I was alone, they just thought I'd know better, better...

The hardest part this troubled heart has ever yet been through now
We've healed the scars that got there stuck inside someone like you now

But had I known, or I'd been shown back when I long you'd take me
To break the charge that brought me home in all that won't erase me

I never would, I thought I could no matter what you'd pay me
Replay the part, you stole my heart, I should have known you're crazy

If all I knew was that with you, I'd want someone to save me
It'd be enough, but just my luck, I'll bury love and baby all that I wanted was...

Now I know you better
You know I know better
Now I know you better

So bittersweet, this tragedy won't ask for absolution
This melody inside of me still searches for solution
A twist of fate, the change of heart cures my infatuation of a broken heart to provide the spark for my determination

No one ever told me when I was alone, they just thought I'd know better, better...
No one ever told me when I was alone, they just thought I'd know better, better...

All that I wanted was...

Now I know you better
You know I know better
Now I know you better

I never wanted you to be so full of anger
I never wanted you to be somebody else
I never wanted you to be someone afraid to know themselves
I only wanted you to see things for yourself

All that I wanted was...

Now I know you better
Now we all know better

All that I wanted was...

If I were you, I'd manage to abhor the invitations of promised love that can't keep up with your adoration

Just use your head and in the end you'll find your inspiration to choose your steps

I won't regret this kind of aggrivation

No one ever told me when I was alone, they just thought I'd know better, better...
No one ever told me when I was alone, they just thought I'd know better, better...

Pretty sure their not 100%.

In the last verse, Axl is giving his advice. It's "and won't regret this kind of aggravation."

Lots of little mistakes. Abhor? Doesn't make sense. Avoid is much better.

Feel the song, just don't listen.? yes

I can feel the song just fine, but my ears are telling me it's "abhor".

Let's reference ye olde dictionary, shall we?

http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/abhor

Quote
abhor - to regard with extreme repugnance : LOATHE

So the lyrics are saying that the female figure should "loathe" the invitations of promised love that fail to match the love that she in turn is offering.

Get it?

How can u hate an invitation.  It is definitetly avoid.  In addition, doesn't he say "the scars that got their start", not stuck in the first verse.

I correct myself.  I just listen to it a bunch of times and he may say "abhor".  It is close.  Damn Axl and his SAT words. . . .

Uhm, you can hate an invitation and it makes sense in the way it's used here.

I'm going with abhor, maybe you should look into continuing your education.

Just kidding! Wink

I thought about it more and it did make sense.  I also have been drinking all night.  I do have an extensive education (finished graduate school last year), thank you.  I also think I just might have pissed myself.  Either way the song is awesome.

So I been analizing the song I'm pretty sure I'm not going crazy but I can hear, clearly how his voice changes from his low voice to the higher raspy voice in a fraction of a second its at the beginning of the following sentences........

"but had I known..............................exactly at the word but at 00:40

and also at

"To break the charge....................exactly at the word To at 00:45

I find this version amusing......Masterpiece!!!
